LOL, some people consider pump+meth, just pump. I don't, but each his own. Anyway you look at it, these pump gas hy35 guys from out east got us all beat by a long way, so all of you in this thread are doing it wrong.

where I'm moving (which is east) has 94 octane pump I'm gonna try and push the hx40 there. i don't care who says it but pump+meth, is NOT CONSIDERED "pump gas" in my book. especially since formula 1 use methanol as straight fuel ( another type of race gas) so no, methanol does not constitute falling under a pump gas tune, the stoich afrs are even different.

Just wanted to update my best pump gas performance.....

After installing a JMF Drag intake, and upgrading my Fuel system.

Last time out I logged 71.8lb/min of airflow on 93oct pump gas (Shell V-Power, no ethanol added) and no meth injection.
This was in 36* outside air, at about 31.5lbs boost.

I realize the low air temp isnt typical driving weather, but hitting 70+lb/min air flow on pump gas is really awesome no less! Car felt REALLY Good!!!

That amount of flow hints at power into the mid-600awhp range.
Lets you know what kinda power is possible with a good quality/complete set-up :thumb:

If your using dsmlink estimate your airflow has to be calibrated correctly for that to be accurate, so if your boost est isnt matching your map you habe inflated numbers.

Hold on a sec, did you buy jack's gsx? I see your to4z i hear great things about that car from jack. He built my motor too, and your airflow is prob correct with that monster.

Yeah was Jack's car.

I'll post a log later tonight

Haha nice!

We've got a local 1g @ 612whp w/ 92 octane no meth. Daily driven tune. The limitations are in the tune and setup. Every car will react differently.

Heres a copy of my very last log. Its a 2nd through 4th gear pull.

The tune is done by me. Im still learning & it needs some adjustments (I haven't driven the car in a few weeks, so haven't had a chance to finish the tune) ...power potential is there non the less.

I like your timing map, i might give it a shot, you think your numbers are low you shoukd see my peak at full boost. That t04z is pushin some air! Its not even close to its max 85lb a min! Jack never showed me his tunes so its good to see how it performs for once with a different tune.

It didnt use to run any timing when I got it (i mean none LOL).

For a 93oct pump as map, yeah its kick ass!
With e85, and Race Gas it would be sick!

20psi at 3960rpm, 42psi at 5200rpm. 80lb at 7700rpm. yes the sd table is pretty close. the title says pump gas and I'm on pump gas :)

thats really impressive. i cant wait to get a 3794HTA :p

why was boost dropping from 42 to 39, that sool is amazing. damn, that turbo is much better than the HX40 at same boost level

and you got 1.8* knock, nothing to worry about. but its not no knock. LOL
