Just to add my 2 cents. I have ran plenty of ACT stuff and a few things from SBC. Tim recommended a full ceramic sprung SBC disk with my act 2600 in my last set up and that disk is geared more for back to back track runs but I did not have one issue with street driving it everyday. It pulled out without chatter or noise or harsh engagement. With that said I am running an ACT 2600 (old school plate) with a new 4 puck sprung and I shift at 7k without any lock out or issue and I do daily this car. It is slightly harder to drive on the street then the old set up but Its probably my favorite as of right now. The only down side is the disk is only good for about a years worth a daily driving or so from my research. I am also still running the stock reservior on the front of the transmission. I refuse to take it off cause this is the best shifting clutch ive had yet after to many issues with ACT and and clutch lock out and pedal adjustments and what not.

How's the feel of the engagement window with that ssx plate? Did you have plenty of adjustment rod left as well? Im pretty much sold at this point cause if the pedal pressure is stocklike itll never kill my pedal assembly again...

The petal pressure is a hair above stock ( its like really?) The clutch engaugement window is higher on the petal so there is some getting used to but over all I love it so far. I have the engaugement set about 2" off the floor. I put about 50+ miles on it today. Much more enjoyable to drive.
With other clutches I have had they were on or off. This clutch has a more graduale engaugement as the petal goes up.
Is shocking this is the one of the highest torque rated clutches SBC makes.
There is nothing fancy about my clutch set up just bolt it in like a stock unit and it works right away but make sure your clutch master and slave cyl are in good condition. I also use ATE 200 dot 4 brake fluid
Here is the exact clutch Im using I got the pic of the TMZ website

Another thing to add with this this clutch and a 3" aluminum dss drive shaft I now have no driveline noise on deceal:)

Wait until you try to do some back to back passes at the track with that thing. Once it slips one time, it's over with.

Have you had issues like said above with this clutch? I just don't see it with this plate and ceramic disk

It looked like the Kevlar disk. I've had one of their metallic puck disks and it looked totally different. It also broke where the hub joins the pucks. Is it the duel friction model?

^^ Im reasonably sure that the disk you got can slip if its overheated, but it wont glaze, and once it cools back down, itll grab again just fine:hmm:

Kris will not have slippage issues with the clutch I got him. It is not Kevlar, it is a SSX/B series setup.

Ahh, I was just looking it up on your site. So, I know youre away and all, but if I payed you, would you be able to have a clutch drop- shipped to me :D

The pedal assembly is dead, the car is my daily driver, and I dont want to kill my synchro assemblies before I get the problem fixed...

Yes, I can drop ship clutches and flywheels still, but no flywheel media blasting, OEM parts, or Quarter Master stuff until I return November 5th. South Bend Clutch and ACT I drop ship.
