Guys really? He said he's trying out straight methanol. Why the hell are you asking what fuel he's running...its right there!

M1, nothin fancy. I'm however impressed on how much better the car runs. We got rained out today kinda bummed, running out of time to get anything done

Only update is a fuel change. gonna try to go out Saturday to see whats up with running full meth. Car at 37 psi is up a solid 90 whp changing nothing but fuel, still on the same timing as e98. added 3* of timing and picked up another 50ish whp. that being said, maybe something fun to report on Sunday.

You gained 140hp from just changing fuel and timing...man too bad they don't sell meth at the gas stations like they do E85.

Just gonna have to head south to get it in. Going south in the middle of WA winter might not be that bad of an idea...haha Keep at it man! Good luck!

Sooo, when are you headed back to the track. You have been super quiet this year on the forum. I blew my car up once again, so upset about it until I am just sick. I am going to switch to another ecu and probably go mechanical pump. But anyways, let's see something exciting before winter. I think I am going to drop off the talon and let you go through it for the winter and 1 spare motor to go with it. The mph that you trapped was just retarded, your on your way to something special and I hope it comes this year.

:rocks:

Any other time everybody always hates on autos but since he beat a record nobody is..LOL

What the hell are you smokin'? You are more likely to get made fun of for running a 5spd than an Auto now a days. Can't argue reliability and consistency.

Weather has pretty much screwed my rest of season. If I make any passes here on out its gonna be in Cali or down in Vegas IFO, I was pretty excited to go out on this new meth tune, car is seemingly much more rowdy then ever before. Oh well, just more DiSappointMent.

Looks like switching from E-98 to methanol is paying off big time !! Congrats JB

Autos always run through the traps in 3rd

Im aware, I have 2 auto's LOL.... but at 8k rpm im at 130mph in 3rd with 25" tall street tires which is no where close to his 170+mph passes (at probly 9k+ rpm) thats why I was wondering his tire size because it will make the gears a little taller and he can get a little more speed out of each gear.

26.x" slick with tire growth at speed and somewhere in the neighborhood of 10k rpm should do it, no?

^ That plus a pretty efficient Precision 2G converter.

Yes, the converter... It's mostly in the converter. :sneaky:
