This was at a local airport - 1/8 mile Flashlight Drags... in farm country southwestern PA.

It's funny to see these stupid-expensive cars showing up and getting whooped on. However, there is a tt Hennessey Viper that does well in the Top Street class, but has to win every race from half track on, when he can actually get into boost (19" wheels/street tires).

BTW... phunny does well in the Tuner class and has won it, but should be running in the Top Street and Big Dog classes if he wants competition... where my boys run mid 9-sec DSMs and gotta race '69 camaro tube cars with 662ci and 3 stages of nitrous... or how bout the other '6x camaro that runs a big block and turbo bigger than my ego... or the Dart chassis with no alternator. And it's supposed to be a street car event.

Nonetheless, keep tearing up the pretty boys with their daddy's toys. Way to represent 122ci man! What flavor of 35r are you running?

One of the most annoying "DSM'isms" ever. How do you know they didn't work for and buy their own cars? How do you know that perhaps instead of spending 30k on some shitty $2000 Eclipse, they saved their money and invested it into a business or something, and waited till later in life to buy a bad ass car?

Nothing beats a DSM if it's fast. Ignore craftsmanship, status, exclusivity, attention to detail, etc, etc.

Sorry I left you guys hanging, can't post videos until Monday :/. I only tun the top street class as it would not be fair to run the import class. Although if the built supra is there next time I will run the class, eliminate him, then bail out I the race.

The big dog class isn't for street cars so I want no part of it. I drive my car 38 miles, raced all day, hot lapped like 5 times in the finals, ran, my a/c all day then drove home =D.

I've raced the TT Viper many times, he's running twin T-62's and dynos at 1024 HP. It's easily a low 9 second car but obviously street tires and an 1/8th mile do him no justice.

You shouldn't have any issues in the Top Street class Charlie. Should get you some better races! I went out there one time with my car and won it with my lil guy turbo (3076HTA) You should mop them up with ease with a 35r. That event though just isn't for me. Keep up the good work!!

A mustang with exhaust and gears is as queer as your assumption about me. I know exactly what's on the car. I've seen it with my own eyes and talked to the guy. It's run 8.1 at the track. He dials back the ramp in on the nitrous and cuts a stage at the flashlight drags.

I'm no import fanboy either. I've owned and modified two sn95 stangs, a 95 gt and a 98 cobra. I did all the sissy ass bolt-ons you're talking about and the cars were SLOW. I'd race people and lose, and ask them at the finish to wait for me to go get my other car. They'd ask what and I'd tell them "my talon" and they would decline, out of straight up fear. My 98 cobra was my bait car and yours is your pride and joy? I sure hope not.

I've turned wrenches on friends' fox bodies with 347 sbf and 426 sbc motors in them. My domestic buddies run 8.0s on 275 drag radials and 10.5 et streets. Another runs 8.5s at 12psi from 2 hx35s. My dsm buddies run 8.8's in a conquest, 9.5's in STREET awd autos, etc. And I ain't gonna lie... i don't have shit right now... Oh, except for a $200,000 house and a 330ci. Sold all my quads, bikes, cars to be a big boy. But I'll get back into it someday... and come looking for smacks like you in a stangs with gears and exhaust. Heck bud, throw your maf and throttle body on there too... even your bolt-in sub-frame connectors and R-wheels too. .
