my timing tensioner exploded and bent my intake valves. i dont have the tool to remove the valves so im looking for a quick fix. anyone in the area that has a good head, that will let it go for 140 or so i will take it. i live in tahoe, but im ok with driving to san fran if i have to. i need one asap. please someone help...

Are you looking for another 6 bolt head or are you looking for a head that has already been resurfaced and everything done for you?

I have a 6bolt head and internally its fine, it checks out as being strait but as with anything I'd deck it just because I'm not 100% sure if i decked it already..

I also have a head, but I'm pretty sure you don't want it. I'd let it go for really cheap but it needs to be baked, then resurfaced, otherwise its good to go.

He never contacted me I have been sitting here waiting on OP for almost a month . You could have had that head a loooong time ago.

i contacted you, you wanted more then i could spend at the time and i have no places by me to get the head surfaced, i have to go to reno for that. if you want to work something out, let me know.

I think you have me confused with another Guy. We never talked about a final price and one of my heads has already been resurfaced and valve job done. I didn't want anything near your original budget for it either.

your right, i think it was tstkl i talked to. i must have over looked it like an ass. sorry, i could have helped both of us, but 1sloevo helped me out and he is holding the head for me till the 6th when i can have someone grab it for me. im glad he is a good guy, seems really nice and we have been talking a bit.

^ ooh im on the road all the time, it wasn't my VR4 that popped the timing it was my wifes.. needless to say she has been pissed that im taking this long to get her back on the road, im just glad she isn't a forum member so she wont see this mess where her car could have been running days after it happened.
