I just picked up some LED's for the footwells over my car (yes they are the right bulb type) and I took out 2 that were plugged in there, but they never worked while I have owned the car. I found the room light fuse, and it was not broken, but I figured i'd replace it anyway and see what happened. Only they remained off. Could it be a fuse elsewhere or a cut line?

I was not aware there was an open door light in my cluster, only a open trunk. So no, I do not.

Where are the door switches located if you don't mind me asking?

Make sure you have the led plugged in correctly. Most leds only work when plugged in a certain direction.

I tried swapping them in both directions for that very reason. I'll take a look at the switchs and report back after school!

The door switches do go out, but the screw that holds them in is also the ground for the switch. Make sure the screw is tight and not rusty. If that doesn't work, the switches are like $5 on rockauto.

Anyone with a multimeter and bored able to check what the voltage should be across the two wires for the plugs? I want to make sure my values I got were accurate. Thinking to myself, it wouldn't have to be much since all it needs to do is tell a simple yes or no (being if the door is opened or closed) , not a certain value.

I would if I had a multimeter, but I'm fairly sure its a12v powersource. They still arent going to work unless your door ajar dash light comes on anyways. Do your overhead lights come on with the door open? (mirror lights if you have a sunroof)

Neither of the lights turn on.

But no, the mirror lights do not come on either. They only have an On and Off setting on them. I'm trying to figure out what it is.

And you don't get a door open light on your dash when you open either door? If so, the switch itself is most likely bad.

There is no light coming on on the dash either. Which switch though? Is there another one other than the two for the doors?

There are bulbs there, they have little yellow covers on them. But the door open light does come on, only when the trunk is open. It doesn't activate any lights though.

So you think it is just going to be the Door Jamb Switches then? If it is, is there anyway I can close the circuit to test it out?
