I think his 11.1 run was still on the spray. But yes he has the fastest BEP .55 HX35, 10.9 now (but again-on the spray) 11.2 is the bolt on record w/o nitrous.

Good shit Gooberlog! You're car is really moving! You're right, my 11.1 was also with some nitrous. I've gone 11.3 @ 119 without the spray.

Went 11.98 @ 128mph w/ a .55ar bolt on hx40 (in a fwd colt)

We will see what AWD nets me in the spring ;0

Geting a little bit closer to the Bolt on hx35 no nitrous record. Just went 11.36 @ @129.5. That was with an awful 1.93 60'. I still have suspension stuff to do and if that doesn't get my sixty foots back down, I'll have to buy some tires.

Your car looked clean yesterday. I'm sure once you dial in your short time, everything else will fall in line. How much boost were you running?

This is awesome! Your track is open already? I'll be happy if I can just break 11's but I should probably run 12's first haha.

Travis...

Let's not forget to mention you made it to the semi's and won some $. :thumb:

Sorry I couldn't be there for more support and really wish I could've seen the passes. I was a little busy trying to figure this shit out myself. You totally got this man. Your trap doesn't lie..

I tell you man my car felt pretty damn strait for not having an alignment. Those toe eliminators are really nice.

Any timeslips or a video?

:dsm:

I am also about to go the bep bolt on housing route but I will be in a fully weighted 2g auto so I doubt I will break any records.

Anyways I was curious to see if any of you guys running the .55 housing have ever made a pass on 93 oct or been on the dyno running 93 oct and what were the results? I wanted to drive around on 93 oct at or over 400whp.

think the time slip is in my car still, don't think anyone got a video of that pass but they did get one of another pass that day.

I think when i dynoed i was on race gas, but that was on a engine with bad compression. I think 400 should be do able with a bolt on HX35 on pump gas. It may be a challenge but should be doable.

I ended up purchasing a divided T4 manifold that im gonna try to use an adapter plate with so I can use the stock housing. Hopefully it works.

Im still in for some more times and info, Im in the process of getting either a bolt on .55 housing or a .70 housing debating on everyones spool times, fuel type, boost, and fuel setups.

Alot of this falls down to underlying mods, so if everyone could post up their fuel setup(an/ss lines, e85 or 93/race gas), what psi you run, spool times, do you fall out of boost between gears? etc.

nice thread here...currently running 26lbs of boost on my hx35...with the BEP hotside...so far I've made approximately 460hp according to ECMlink. This is with e85, built head/block plus supporting mods. Full weight though. 98 GSX 5 speed.

At the moment it wouldn't hold more than 26lbs of boost(spikes to 38lbs) because of the spring in the external wg..I just purchased a second spring. Hoping for mid 30's boost and over 500hp. The car feels pretty good so far...I would love to get 130mph traps out of this thing.

I currently have the bep .55 housing record I do believe at 11.237 @ 119.68mph.
Friday night was beautiful here in Maryland and i went to the local drags for test and tune. This was my second time racing on slicks and only managed one somewhat impressive 60' time in my opinion: 1.58 I had 3 new bests Friday including 11.21 & 11.24

The run that i got my best 60' time of 1.58 was a new best 60' and a new best E/T for me of 11.21@126

But my next pass was a bit quicker due to changes in the tune even though my 60' time was worse with a 1.70 i ran a 11.18@127:hellyeah:

I believe this is the new fastest e/t for a HX35 in a bolt on BEP .55 a/r housing with out the use of nitrous. Some friends that were supposed to be there to support and tape my run, but they didn't make it. Many other friends were there for support though, thank you guys! Not sure if anyone at the track got any video of my passes. Assuming my new time is the quickest, here are some details about my set up:

'92 Laser 112k miles AWD 5speed manual
Race weight with driver: about 2.950 pounds
Fuel Used: 100% C-16
Eagle Rods, Ross Pistons 8.5:1
23 spline trans with evo shift forks, double syncro 2nd, 4 spider diff
ACT 2600 PP and 6puck unsprung disk
Bosch 1600cc injectors and walbro 400 pump
HX35W 7blade Built by JUSMX with BEP bolt on mitsu .55 a/r housing
Front and rear seats with interior panels were in car while racing as well as both head lights and full 3" catless exhaust, ported 2g manifold
Punishment 1g fmic kit with custom 3" UICP and tial 50mm bov
ECMTUNING V3 with speed density
boost was 37-41psi depending on the run (11.18 was on 37psi)
15" wheels with 24.5/8 M&H e/t drag slicks
There may be more that I'm forgetting.
This pic was from Friday night
I got lots of help from lots of great guys. Thanks to Charlie Hutcheson Adam St. John, Bob Breach, Tom and Dave at ECMTuning, many others have helped out as well but a special thanks to My wife Julie and Matt Cochran aka 1WhiteGSX who has worked even harder than i have on my own car. A top notch Tech, fabricator and tuner as you can see. Thank you all!

More to come!

Hell yea man. That's an awesome and I'm stocked for u. It's been a long road, but you were determined to accomplish this goal. Lets not forget the fact that you have only had a few actual goes at this because of car gremlins, work, and your family duties. For the first time out in pretty much a year, that's even more of an accomplishment. It seems all the issues are finally sorted, and with seat time, I don't see why you can't dip into the 10's in that nice fall air coming up.

Props to Matt C. for sure man. He has been just as dedicated on getting this car running right as you. Any small things I've helped you with is NOTHING compared to the countless hours he has been in that hood.

Again congrats on the record and I'm am looking forward to seeing what's next for the Laser!? I'm hoping something Hx40/Gt35 Ish.......but with a T3 and that same 40lbs of boost!

An hx40 is not out of the question, but I'm having plenty of fun on the hx35 still. Not sure if my set up can handle all that big power, but I'll be throwing some more power at it with the T3 hot parts on the hx35 sooner than later.
Thanks Adam, you were a big inspiration of me keeping at this challenge. The best part of the run was achieving my goal.

Good times Gooberlog!

My personal best on a bolt on hx35 was a 11.7@120mph best trap off 122mph at 31-32psi. This was in a full weight Galant Vr-4 on 195 street tires tho.

Being this one back. Did anybody ever go 10s with the BEP no nitrous?
I have to be close. I picked up 80awhp this year from last. Running at tx2k14 this year so we will find out !
