It was a great time as usual. I felt like there were not as many dsms running as I expected there to be. Kinda disappointed by that but a great turnout for sure. I really enjoyed both days at the track and the autocross was a lot of fun too watch. This green mini cooper S was really tearing it up. It seemed like there were more vendors this year, probably because of the gtr class.

That's the most consistent Adam has ever been. He's been trying to figure out how to launch with the PPG dogbox and figured it out this weekend for sure and hauled ass!

English Racing hauled my pile all the way out from Washington State. Made 4 passes Friday night with a best of 10.21@133 and then Saturday had the clutch in my Precision converter eat itself alive and throw metal shavings all through my valve body and filter. Pulled the trans Saturday night in the pits and pulled it apart. Found the nonsense in the oil pan. Ended my weekend before I could even qualify in DSE. Thankfully the trans pump and clutch packs all look mint with no metal in them so the trans is going back with English so Mark @ Metro Trans can go through it and the converter is going back to Precision for some work. All is well and the car will be back up and running soon!

:hellyeah: Quicker then the majority of the DSE class with the "big turbos". Might have been quicker then all of them? Couldn't really pay attention. Only issue I see is whether or not Buschur will keep the class around, only 7 entries and one got booted for a hahn 20g on the car! Where was everyone!

I didnt make it out in my talon due to the clutch plate rivits shearing off ending my shoot out dream this year. 2/3 28 psi shift on the street tuning ended my weekend. Hey at least I got to put it on the trailer!
I would have been no were near Tylers time with there 1g SAT car thats crazy! Mid 10s is what I was expecting out of mine. Will try again next year with the same set up!

I heard Devin and the dog box racing evo were in the finals giving the win to the EVO

Hi everybody, great event this year! It looks like I lost my toolbox at the track yesterday 8/18. It is a small portable craftsman 3 drawer toolbox. It is red with a black top and has an act sticker on top. I have attempted to contact the track but I couldn't get anyone on the phone. This box has 80% of my tools and more importantly they key to my wheel locks. If anyone has seen it or knows where it is please contact me on here or send me a pm and ill give you my phone number. You can also email me at [email protected]. Thank you!

I walked the place pretty good at the end of the day just to wake up so I could make the drive, there was only about three people left at that point and they were obviously camping another night to drive back monday, I didnt see any tool box anywherem where were you parked? someone did leave a bmx bike though up by the staging lanes.

It was in the parking lot near the 1/4 mile finish line in the middle near one of the blue garbage cans. I'm wondering if someone packed it up on their trailer

If they run the SAT class next year, I will be right there with you. At least you ave someone you know you can beat. Will was making me want to run SOOOO bad, but I wanted to be sure that I made it home.

I had a blast watching the cars but finally meeting everyone in person that I talk to everyday on here is what made it all worth it. Hopefully the stars will align again next year too and I can make the trip again.

Catching my flight out of Cleveland now. Had a great time meeting lots of DSMers. Everything was a blur and I'm sunburned as hell but it was a blast. Big thanks to Brian, Eric and Banana Republic (Corey) for babysitting me!

Ran a new best in LILEVO, 10.0@145. Made 663awhp on Buschurs dyno. Hope someone got some good videos of my car!

Awesome job on the Dyno LIL EVO! I want to see some video of your dyno pulls too. You knocked over some girl taking pictures once the turbo spooled! Priceless!!

...and thank you for keeping me warm Saturday night, that bed was cold the first two nights when I had it all to myself. ;)

No video but I got some great shots, it's going to take a few weeks to get everything on the computer and processed so be patient. Congrats on the new personal best, we were hoping to see a 9.999 out of that car.

Cool can't wait! I'll be going back to the track soon to knock down that 1.7 60foot and get a 9 this year

made it, had fun still will. the only thing is that they did not honor Military discount like the page says. I did the trip of 600 miles counting on the fact that I could save some cash by using the military advantage at the races but, like tomorrows autocross for example, now im out of budget and hungry at a crappy motel LOL, ohwell.

Thats odd. I'm military and didn't have to pay for either day.

The wife and I had an absolutely amazing weekend. She has decided that she is going to be getting a 2g here very shortly. We were able to spend some time with good friends, meet new people, and make new friends.

Got to work on a friends car. Made me feel good knowing he was going to make it home safe.

My back window got a good deal of attention this weekend. "Faith, Hope, & Zip Ties".

Thanks everyone for such a wonderful weekend! It takes more than just the sponsors to make the Shootout keep happening!

Man that was fun I enjoyed talking with chris, gofer, turbosax and snowboarder, had a great time talking with them and getting to know them a bit better, full blast weekend got lots of swag, and had the chance to meet Marybeth, and jaxness as well as more fellow dsmers from around here and from meeting them from previous shows and enjoyed talking to the vendors, already set for next year with my dsm.

Nice meeting you, too! It was crazy how many Tuners members I met this year. It was a blast!

You too jax nice run and watching you drive around i have lots of respect for you and your car, keep up the great work and ill see you next year with my 1g. I watch your posts on dsmpurity too. The ams gtr was amazing as well as twicks and many others.

I ran a 10.60@ 130 on 18psi during tnt friday.. then after that my weekend went to shit...

I believe the quickest DSE car that made it past qualifying was Adam St.John at 9.9x.

I sure hope they don't eliminate the SAT class. I love watching those cars run. They all put up impressive times and don't usually require a track clean-up afterward.

I thought that was an automatic car. It just seemed too smooth and consistant to be a manual. I never got a chance to check it out up close though.

His fastest was a 9.89. Hes running a dog box now. This is his only second time out with it. First time was at IREV. He almost had a 9.xx but decided to punch the brakes at the last second.

Corey, it was great meeting you! Glad you came over to the car and introduced yourself!

This years "night life" was pretty tame compared to previous years. Im really not complaining though. It was pretty nice. I managed to help Tim Z back to his trailer, TWICE LOL. and gave him a hand pulling the rear diff and components associated so he could still compete!.

Hung out with Jax, Anthony and Justin for a pretty decent amount of time this weekend as well. Met some new folks and seen some familiar faces!

Tom from "Toms turbo garage" took mine, Kenny, Mr Peepers and Congs drunk asses to taco bell at like 130am in his unofficial official DSM shootout van!!!! Big thanks to him!!

I participated in Auto-x saturday and had a best of I think 36.4 second lap. and hit up test n tune friday. only made two passes since I was having issues with the car earlier that day. Best of 12.7x @ 117 with a 2.1 60' on the hx35 at ~24psi. Log showed quite a bit of knock. So, some more seat time and actually launching the car Im betting the car will see low 11s without changing anything!
