After a few years away from racing, I took the time out to do an auto set up on my evo 3 lancer.I used an auto out of a 97 model mitsubishi RVR Hyper Gear.
The auto was pulled down and re built with stronger internals etc.Im using the stock converter re stalled etc.
After a day on the dyno we ended up with 440whp on 26psi and 500whp on 30psi with E85.Im so happy with the results, so now its time to take it to the track.
Specs are
Built auto with a forced four shift box, evo 7 gta steering wheel and button shifted
4g64 Block de stroked to a 2.1
Alloy grp rods
Manley crank
JE pistons
Ported head, o/s valves etc.
custom grind cams around 290
9 year old GT35R turbo 1.06 rear
hypertune intake
1600cc injectors, twin 044 pumps
Haltech E11 ecu
msd dis ignition
The dyno graph reads in KW and the rpm was out as I turned it to 9000 not 12000
When it was a manual it made 640whp and I ran a best time of 9.67@152(2005)

Congrats, Good luck on mid 9s on the new trans. Brisbane is a beautiful city...Went there on a 2 week long TDY, luckily there was a sexpo in town at the same time.....Hard to believe most of the city was under water not too long ago.....

Thanks, Was that a few weeks ago?
Im in the process of working out which way to go to get it to spool up off
the line,it only gets to 2500rpm and no boost so its either a shot of n20 or a smaller turbo?

Very well thought out setup, perhaps a small 50-60 shot of nitrous would get her firing outta the hole better. Anything you miss about making the swap to auto:sneaky:? Nice car.:)

cool to see this car get auto conversion. have always followed your progress with the car. that 1.06 hotside is gonna need a little spray to get her up on converter.

Thanks for the compliments.I have been driving it to and from work for the last week and a bit and im very happy with how it drives. The only issue I have is it does not want to stall up at all, so im considering going a smaller turbo.

I took it out to a test and tune last week and drove it off the line.I tried stalling it and it only went to 2500 and was so slow to take off, it took around 5 seconds before it took off.
The button shifter on the steering wheel is awesome!!It was good to get out and shake the cobwebs.
I did 3 passes 14.13@128, [email protected] [email protected].
All 60" were 3.2 and nothing happend untill the 330 mark
It did trap 33mph from half track.
So a 50-100 shot is now on order

I ran it tonight at a test and tune and it went 10.8 @129 with a 1.65 60" on 22 psi.I will have a video up soon.
