Didn't really look, but does anyone know what time the race track is doing tnt on Friday? my fresh motor is gonna need some breaking in and tuning before sunday.

Gates open at 4, testing starts at 6. Sounds like I'll see ya there!

That's right Shane. Runs are from 6-11pm. The Friday session last year was great. Lots of chances to get good runs down the track. :D Good luck with the fresh motor David! :thumb:

Will probably be there to watch Friday, as we would like to drop the trailer. Just making sure, are we allowed to keep the trailer there if we are there for the whole weekend? It's much easier than trying to find trailer parking at the hotel.

I don't see why not. Come in Friday and pay for the whole weekend and you're free to come and go as you please. Park the trailer and have fun! :D

For those that haven't seen this on Facebook yet. Team English Racing is starting their journey to Ohio tomorrow with this beast inside... oh and my bucket too. :p

Oh and here's their journey. I feel bad about not being able to drive with them again this year. They need all the drivers they can get, especially with them hauling TWO trucks and trailers worth of cars this year. Camas, WA to Milan, OH. 2386 miles... ONE WAY!

Just a hop, skip, and a jump away! No big deal. :p

Not really understanding why all the FWD people don't get to dyno. You can't dedicate half a day to us?

Feeling superbly leftout. I expected more for my first apperance at a DSM shootout. Should just name it "AWD DSM shootout". Save us some time & money.

Dynos you can put your FWD on are a dime a dozen.. AWD dynos are quite a bit more rare and is the only chance for some people to be able to dyno there cars. The guys @ Buschurs are already ran ragged leading up to, during and after the shootout. Keep that in mind while your relaxing, enjoying yourself and partying.

There are plenty of fast FWD's @ the shootout and the dyno is pretty much the only thing you are exempt from. :dsm:

There's more to life than a Dyno. AutoX or race it! FWD's are allowed there! IDK if it's a time thing, but not sure how long it takes to convert the AWD to FWD.

That too.. it's takes a stupid amount of time and effort to run an event. I help organize and run the Shelby Dodge event that is in June; which is not nearly as big.... and it's just insane the amount of work that in involved. There is plenty to do; besides racing it is better than dyno numbers. :thumb:

Oh pleeeeeeeaaazzzzzz... :| You expected more at your first shootout?? Save us time and money?? Just chill and come relax and enjoy. :) I promise you it doesn't get ANY better than this event! :D

To add to what has already been said, there aren't enough FWD vehicles that are willing to run on the dyno usually. Combine that with the fact that some things need to be changed over to run a FWD after having the dyno set up for AWD and it's just too much work. If you dedicate half the day for FWD vehicles there's not enough wanting to run to keep cars on the dyno. :boring: And like I said switching the dyno back and forth every time a FWD does want to run is not possible.

I believe we are leaving Greene County around noon. We are supposed to roll through Pittsburgh around 1-1:30 and have a guy catch us on the way through. I am not sure on all of the details just yet. talontd92tsi is our little group leader for the trip. Hes got the plan.

Were leaving friday at 10am. Just in time for a few hours at the car show and dyno.

Well guys, Me and my Chic are leaving tonight at 3am to start our 22+ hour journey to the shootout. Got the VR4 all tapped up from rock chips and even put a mesh screen for the Front mount. Wish me Luck!

I'm AWD and I can't get on the dyno!

me neither, side exit exhaust!!! but anyhow, sofar so good on my car making it to the shootout, ended up having to overnight some manley I beam rods to finish my motor, didn't like the clearances on my previous rods... rods should be here in the morning and button it up and put back in the car... Hope the new rods dont need any machining out of the box, or I'll be out of time.
