I just bought a red 91 talon tsi fwd with 85k original miles, 5 speed with no rust and paint and body in great condition. It has some nice upgrades from the fmic, 20g turbo,Shep trans, ams boost controllers, aftermarket radiator, 500cc ingectors, bbk 68mm throttle body, gm maf,hks 272 cams, short throw and aftermarket exhaust maybe missing somthing. Its pushing 27psi. Has gauges also. Its a 9.5 out of 10 inside and out and under the hood. I have been told my car is a 4k+ car all day and i only paid $1700. The person who was selling me it told me the reason he is selling it is because it doesnt have air condition and that he needs a bigger car. I thought he was lying about everything but i brought a true dsmer with me who knows 100% about everything and build dsms so he would be the best for those cars. He said to buy it cause that was a steal and i knew that from what i saw. He said the guy is stupid to sell the car for that low but he did and i took it. Some of this may not have to be written down but i am happy for what i bought and for how much i bought it for. So here is my question since there is no air condition what do i need to add the air condition back to this car. Like i have been told by different people what i need but there all different with there answers on what i need. So what would i need and what brands? i dont know if i can go aftermarket since im not stock or would stock be great even with the mods?

Hope you meant 85000 miles unless the speedo was replaced to show 85 original miles.

Also, need harnesses, the evaporator and similar devices needed in the air plenum under the dash (which will need to be taken completely out to get to this main unit)... Talk to an AC shop on this one.

Plan on spending lots of green.

You need to find out what is there and what isnt first. If its just misisng the the compressor and engine bay lines condensor its not that bad. If its missing the electronics its best to find a donor car that has it working to transfer it back. Ive pulled a working system from my DD that i should never have and regret it because of how many small things are there to make it all work.

If the car was not equipped with a/c you WILL need to replace hvac box with one that accepts an evaporator. Also while under there you'll need the harness that connects your ac button to the low side switch to the high side switch ending at the ac compressor. The last three pieces of the puzzle are the condesor, receiver dryer and expansion valve. Then tie it all together with lines, vacuum out the moisture for bout 1 hour then find some R-12,( or r12 compatible refrigerant, advance auto has it) then enjoy the cool breeze. Was trying to cover all bases with out knowing what you were working with.
