Can someone show me on a car that now has no abs. Where the hoses hook to from each area on the proportion valve.

The STM kit looks top notch in hand, no instructions were given.

I wouldn't think it hooks up the same as the abs setup, but I could be wrong. Either way it's been so long since the removal I don't remember that either.

May I ask a favor by the mods? Please do not merge this with the other abs delete thread. As it's full of the same things, "people trying to cheap out with a DIY attitude"
This thread is dedicated to the actual process of installing a good reputable companies product, I'd like to keep things on point and focus on my needs and the delivery of their products installation, At which time upon completion , I will make this into a DIY, as photos will be added of progress.

Considered, for now I need some help and guidance.

I think in my notebook back at the shop I wrote down what positions go to what when I stripped everything off the firewall so I could get it back together. I won't be out there for a day or so, but when I do I'll post it up....but you'll probably get an answer elsewhere before then

Thanks for the thread. It did not contain information upon this proportion valve.

I have figured out the top 2 are the rear brakes. :thumb:

So I'm thinking the 2 on in the middle, shooting out to the side go to the front brakes.

And the other 2 on the very bottom angled down, go to the master cylinder.

Thats how i would do it just like my 1g, i saw it on a 2g at the shootout stm did, if your unsure i would call brian tommorow for clarification.

Does this kit replace all the hardlines?

I have a non-ABS vehicle, I could get the routing for you. If this what you need?

It replaces all to the front, the rear lines stay hard. :aha:
Anyways....

For the front, my master cylinder gets 2 lines, and each front brake the stainless hose goes directly to the caliper from the proportion valve. Making 2 more lines.

That's how I just did mine.

^ Is all working well for you setup like this?

Here is my youtube video of the install.
Add comments if I should add to it or better deliver something I may have missed.

I have yet to hook up my calipers, but i agree they seem to be too long. This makes since, considering he designed these for his VR4/3000gt, and they seem to be a little wider cars.

I wouldn't say rip off. but definately a honest opinion of problems vs price.

Someone like myself who had little knowledge about brakes, this seemed ideal, As I learned I did realize it's not hard it's as simple as any other modification. I couldn't find any threads like this when re-searching, or any videos. So I figured this could help someone in the future to make a clear and understanding mind set when purchasing.

Im super glad they make a ABS delete kit!! I was looking at all my ABS junk just a bit ago and wondered what I would have to do to remove all of it. Now I see its only 250$ away!! FML!!!!!!

Keeles Thank you for the video as well, I wondered how they all went together!

I'm glad it helped at least one person make a researched decision. :p

If you guys want to save money find a sebring, or another dsm with out abs take that set up clean it up and buy your own ss braided wires to save you money. PS good write up.

may be a dumb ??? couldnt i just get a non ABS proportioning valve, and just replace it with my old one? leave the same brake lines and stuff and just take out all the ABS components.?

the more i think about it.... that was a dumb ?? LOL

so nvrm sorry.

Good video man! Somits safe to say everything worked out good and you cleaned it up nicely? Also is it safe to say that all the hard lines going over the strut tower can be disgarded?

Yeah Smoker those ugly lines over the tower will dissapear as those are the ones that go to the ABS control unit and then back to the proportioning valve, there are cheaper kits from other vendors that meet up with soft lines towards brakes.

I just found this out since i am looking to clean my engine bay up since the motor is out.

I'm looking tonget rid of the soft lines, thats why the STM kit looked appealing, i think the softline replacement kit is another $100 so why not just use STM's straight tonthe caliper for a little more up front

Thanksnfor conformation on the tower lines :)

Agreed, I did hear some members say that after doing the swap, having gained the experience they would rather have used hard lines and shaped them. So I got a quote $22.00 for 25ft of hard line ( orilies) $25.00 for the proportioning valve from a yunker. Yeah you would still have soft lines but save $200.00 towards something like Ss brake lines??

Update regardless of model all 95-99 eclipses have the same non abs system more of less

I had to go to a super taxed junk yard since it was closer but I could of went else were pulled it out myself and paid about 20 bucks total. Got it from a 2g rs and the hard lines macthes up so I saved an absurd amount of money this way,, P.S if you pull it off a 2g that has already been striped this removel takes about 10mns. I paid 75 total. Again i got super taxed you can get it for much less.
