Hey guys Im just looking for some comfortable cheap Leather stylish seats for my 96 eclipse. Its a rs so no need for racing seats not planning on hitting the track, unless there comfortable never sat in any personally. My exterior color is red and the interior is gray factory. Just got the car for $1000 and some fat chick broke the seat so its unsafe LOL. rather do a leather swap but cheap looking to spend $300 on front seats and 100-150 on back. thankyou so much for the help guys!

Speaking from having DSMs with both cloth and leather seats over the years, I personally think the cloth seats are a lot more comfortable than the leather ones. This is because Mitsubishi used a low grade quality leather which hardens quickly with age and cracks, tears, etc. I say get some better cloth ones from a salvage yard. Or if you're in the market, have them recovered with good quality leathers.

Thanks ya I went to a junkyard literally every eclipse was stripped and the seats was broke i would like to convert some nice leather out of a different car or somthing but idk if any other seats would fit in the eclipse correctly im no mechanic or custom expert so easy bolt in is what im looking for. thanks for the leather advice! :thumb:

I am not 100 percent sure, but I think the dodge avenger and eclipse interior are similar in design. Maybe someone can chime in & verify this. If yes, then this would broaden your search at the junkyard. Hope this can help.

I'm sure there's plenty of race seats that are comfortable, and lighter, but I've never bought any or had any. So on that note I can't comment. I have sat in a couple race seats. I remember one was cloth and I think it was a SPARC. Whichever it was, it was comfy for the few minutes I sat on it, but it was in a parts store. Long term comfort I wouldn't know.

My seats have over 260,000 miles on them, (came from the same car as my cluster) and I have reupholstered them twice, and welded cracked metal parts inside them twice. Maybe your seats aren't totally spent yet yet.
