I am looking at replacing my BOV. I was looking at the Greddy XS, but I seem to be seeing people with Greddy problems aplenty. What BOV do you like? Why?

Also, what is a safe PSI for a stock turbo? I hear rumors that anything beyond 14 will raise hell on the engine.

Neither there both junk I have witness then both leak, if I were you either sell or trade for 1g bov. Or keep the greddy replace diagram with ngr
 
Learned my lesson with Crushed 1g BOV - I believe the BOV started sticking open I believe after the "first" crush. This lead to turbo whine after a few pools down the street, and my jaw dropped. I thought I overspun turbo and was like WTF. Anyone crushing should just be safe and spend the money on an aftermarket one. Not worth finding pieces of turbo in your exhaust or intake...

That's just my opinion.

Also venting to air sounds cool, but makes her run like poop.
 
I've been using a knock-off Type-S (the one included with Punishment FMIC) for about a year now. It's still working just fine with about 35psi from a 60mm H1E. No leaks during BLT's and no compressor surge when venting. My only complaint is that once I started venting 30psi+ the O-ring sometimes blows off. I plan to replace it with a better Viton O-ring and a dab of silicone sealant.
 
I have also never had a problem with my Greddy Type S. Been running it over 20 psi for 7 years.
 
I just got my hands on a BIG 16g and plan to put 350hp to the ground. I know I need a 255 with amfr and ~750cc injectors ecu, but how do I build more boost from the 16g wg? I have a knock off tial external laying here, but I don't think using that is a good idea....plus I would have to buy a o2 with ewg

sorry wrong thread...

the crushed 1g bov will hold ~22psi correct?
