i am having an issue where i believe im not getting enough fuel to my engine. do you think upgrading to 550cc injectors would fix anything or do i need a new fuel pump/booster pump?

Why do you think that and if your not getting enough fuel it could be issue with the system you have now. Do you have a wideband showing your running lean?

According to you profile, your DSM is completely stock, as far as bolt-on or internals go.

With that being said, a larger pump or larger injectors will not solve the problem you are currently have (although your problem isn't clear at all, you posted no symptoms of a problem)

If you do get a larger injectors, you will need some sort of tuning solution to compensate for the larger injectors.

You can upgrade to a wally 190 without having to upgrade anything else, stock FPR can compensate, but again that wouldn't solve your problem (unless you pump was dying/failing)

What are the symptoms you are getting, where you think you need more fuel? Retarding? bogging out? running lean?

Can you elaborate on why you believe your not getting enough fuel to your motor? Maybe you should do a fuel pressure test to make sure your fuel pump is pushing enough

that is a great idea because when i start to boost or even get on it after im at like 4000rpm it studdars or lags or something. fuel cleaners like gumout and seafoam help temporarily, but they dont make it like normal. i have replaced the fuel filter and injectors, so if it is my fuel system (which i am 90% sure it is) then i has to be the pump right? so if a fuel pressure tester will tell me if my pump is working correctly or not? what should the pressure be at? i know my dad has a fuel pressure tester but idk the units itll be in lph? gph? cc?
and should i get it tuned since everything else is pretty much stock? (after i get the fuel pump of course)

The fuel pressure tester should be in psi. Your going to want to test it at idle and also at load to see if your pressure is falling off when you get your stumble/sputter.

Just for sheer simplicity I would pull the plugs first, check the gaps/condition and replace the wires if they are well used. Just my .02, this can make a big difference in a turbo car!

Do u think that doing a tune up could fix it? Does that sound like the problem if injector cleaner pretty much fixes it or helps?

What is stock fuel pressure on a 96 tsi?

First, you can't 'tune' a stock 96 DSM. It has no tunable ecu. As for a tune up, has it had one recently? If not, probably not a bad idea even if its not the root of your problem. As for your symptoms, a simple boost leak test could answer your questions. Its an old car. Throttle body seals are prone to dry up, crack, and leak. Clamps could be loose, corroded, etc on your intercooler pipes, creating a leak. Injector seals dry up and leak, creating a boost and fuel leak. These are things I would check for well before blowing money on new parts that may or may not fix said issues. Hope this helps ;)

My 95 gs is sputtering too i changed spark pulgs coil pack and wires. It sputters when i rev it up when i just start the car or when i drive it for 5 or more mins. Do anyone know why and what is causeing this prob??? I tried fuel injector cleaner and it didnt help
