hi I have a 4g64 block with 4g63 head wish I just put all together I got forged pistons, rods arp head bolts, arp main bolts the pistons are low compression pistons 8.5:1 and I don't know for sure how to do the timing part I saw a add about something like it wish said that the camshaft gear had to be both advance half a tooth I did it and the car turns but wont start at all so can anyone here tell me if they have done this before and how they exactly put the time so I can get my car running? I really need help please.:cry::banghead:

Get dohc 2.4 galant timing gears. Then all you have to do is line up the marks. There's no way to advance half a tooth with stock cam gears so I assume you got a pair of adjustables? I was following a few other posts about this subject. What pistons did you settle on?
