When trying to view logs with evo scan do I use excel to view them, and do you use one of excels spread sheets or custom one? Also in ecu flash do I raise fuel cut by using bigger ms number?

For the fuel cut, I raised the load limit and left the time alone. From the factory, it is set to 200 load for 1000ms or 1 second. This means if the ECU sees more than 200 load for longer than 1 second, fuel cut will happen. If you increase the time, you are essentially shutting off a very good safety feature.

I would recommend raising the load to a value a little over (20) the maximum load you are currently getting. This will allow you to run more boost (achieve a higher load) without getting fuel cut, but still having the feature in case something goes wrong and you over boost.

Of course you shouldn't be messing with any of this without having the proper supporting mods, and a wideband to monitor AFR's to be sure your fuel system is keeping up.

I use the built in Map tracer in Evoscan to view my logs, it is very useful when tuning because you can cross reference where you are getting knock and your timing table.

*edit* I see in your profile you have an aem wideband and injectors

Thank you for the help. Im still learning on how to really look at the logs in map tracer. Some of what I read was people using excel for the spread sheet I thought might easy for newbie like me to view them.

Also when I load one of my logs on map tracer to view it and check the 1bit load box nothing comes up on map tracer? Any ideas?

Sorry, just checked this thread again. I learned most of the stuff I know about evoscan/ecuflash (and I still consider myself a newbie at tuning) from this youtube video series:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKRohS_WSq8&list=PL468808C9C08D0B48]Intro to EcuFlash - 1 of 16 (How to Tune an Evo) - YouTube[/ame]

I watched it a few times to make sure I had an idea of what I was doing. Its a little long, and had A LOT of information, some of which you don't need, but most of the steps are in there.

There are a lot of little things I had to do in order to get the newest evoscan to work for me. Most people recommend using an older version, but it doesn't have the map tracer feature.

Are you using Ceddymods? Or just altering the stock maps?

Ceddymods is needed to log 1byteload. The downloaded file also contains a file you are supposed to place in the EVOSCAN directory. It has the parameters set up in order to log the correct variables.

HI there
Although i have never tried to use one of excels spread sheets or custom one to read logs or other process,i have tried to read excel files using a third party tool.
It is really helpful.You can also have a try.Best wishes
