Seeing how everyone feels about a meet at bandimere on the 24th?

I had intentions of going on the 10, yesterday, but I needed to replace my shift linkage. I have my brother coming in his Subie. Good chance of a co-worker coming in his Vega.

From stock to race cars, doesn't matter. Just be a fun day to meet some of the locals. Have some fun. I personally haven't ran mine, though I used to run my GTO. My brother, this will be his first time ever racing, so he's excited.

I know it's a couple weeks out, but I'm pumped up, excited for it.

Anyone else down? Message me, or comment.

Thanks in advance!

Well, after changing the shift cable connector, I'm still having an issue I need to hunt down... 3rd gear works sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't. I'm not quite sure what's going on. I think it May be my pedal assembly, or my 3-4 shift fork...

For FREEEEE! I bought an a/t to m/t conversion kit a while back just for the shift cable so I have all the other parts just sitting around collecting dust.

I could probably make it. Depends on what condition I'm in after my B-day party the night before. :p

I've been itching to get on the track now that I'm running 35psi instead of a wimpy 17.

I got my car running good. This will be the first time running it since i bought it a few weeks ago. So its to test what it can actually do.

Previous owner claims alot of things, that im slowly finding false. Such as "its an 18g", when actually its the 14b. Making final adjustments within my power till the 24th. But ill most definitely be there. Am I aloud to post my contact info on these forums?

If any of you guys are in the aurora/centennial area and want to cruise on down there with me I usually head out around 3:00 3:30. Im over by smoky hill and buckly. Shoot me a pm if you want to get my number!

Anyone know if they sell E85 at the track? If so, how much per gallon?

No idea. Why you looking to come up with an empty tank? I usually try and come up close to empty and bring 5 gals of corn with me. Maybe I can leave my gas tank by someones car? Last time I went I was by myself and didnt want it to sit out in the open LOL

Im stoked, getting my car detailed the day before.

Never... Never... Never buy fuel at the track.

Some of it is stored in above ground tanks and percolates in the sun, day after day.

Bring your own fuel

Hal

I wont be making it there :(

I got a funny noise coming from the engine bay last sunday. I decided to take off the valve cover, and one of the rockers fell off. So, i must have a bent valve. And the cam caps, and journals on the intake cam were all chewed to hell. So, I bought a used head from a guy. But, since I have it off, I think im going to just upgrade it on the bench, so it will be a couple weeks till new cams and springs come in.

Sorry everyone!

I try to only run 1/4 tank at the track to keep weight down. But last time I assumed there would be an E85 station close by. Turns out they all quit selling E85 and didn't update their online info. Didn't hit one till Castle Rock, with the gas light burning a hole in the dash. LOL So I guess I'll just bring a few gallons with me.

Excuse my noob self, but aren't there pit areas around back that you can use? I plan to dump my toolbox, spare tire, and wife off somewhere to save weight.

I'll probably won't be making any runs so I can keep an eye on gas cans and spare tires, etc. I'm just going to shoot some pics and video while I'm there.

I'm excited to make some runs. Not excited about the 80 mile drive with no AC, rear interior, or muffler... LOL

Hope to see you guys there!
