I just pull out my car last Sunday night. I drive my car around on Monday and it drive okay but few moment it want to die when let off the gas pedal. When it below 3, it starting dying out then shut off. Today I start right up this morning and drive to work but didn't make it. It die on me and had to tow to my job. Today I just replace fuel pump but didn't solve it. I know my timing is right. I know I'm getting spark because it crank but it doesn't want to stay running. When I crank few time, it start about 3 sec then die out and something it backfire once. After that it doesn't want to start. Anybody got an idea? I'm stress out and left my car at my job overnight. :/

I had this happen to me twice one time my cas cracked and another time the plug fell off of my maf. I have a tsi tho but if you rev it up to like three grand and it studded like it has two step than its your mass airflow sensor.

There is no maf:nono:. Have you pulled your plugs they can tell you which way to go.

Make sure all the hoses are connected on the intake manifold... I had one split and tear on me and it ran like crap and wouldn't stay running. Also something else I had happen to me check the MAP sensor on the passenger side of the intake manifold when that thing $hits the bed it really messes with that engine.

One last thing the idle control on the throttle body has a very small chance of messing up. It should be held on by two small hex drive screws on the bottom of the firewall side of the throttle body. If that thing breaks it can seal the idle air vent therefore preventing your car from starting or staying running. It happened to me 6 months ago LOL.

I'm thinking it a fuel filter because at first before I start up the car, I uncap the fuel rail port and pin it to see if it got pressure (gas coming out). Well it does BUT, when I start up the car and died, I check the fuel rail port to see pressure again. There no pressure of gas coming out so I'm thinking fuel filter got clogg up. Anybody agree with me or no?

Sorry bout the maf map thing im use le to 4g63 LOL but if there is no pressure your better off checking the fuel pump because even a clogged filter will let some gas through. Unless it is fully plugged which would be hard to do

I would check your MFI relay. Mine was bad and I had similar problems. You can check it with a volt-ohm meter, but what I did was just switched the connectors for the MRI relay and Fuel Pump relay and used the volt-ohm meter on the connector for the fuel pump. If you don't get voltage when cranking the car after switching the connectors, then you found your problem.
