Well Ive sorta been at this a while http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/drag-strip/333072-my-92-build-little-history.html didnt even have this section when i started that thread.
After dialing in my fuel trims last week, came home changed the oil again, cut the oil filter open and it was full of copper flakes and a leaking rear main. Refilled the oil and backed the car into its spot and canceled the insurance :( fug it Im done.

After a few day of spitting and cursing and tring to figure out WTF I was going to do. I text my friend Chris. Chris has had the first motor we pulled sitting in his garage, he borrowed it to see if he could get his son interested in automotive stuff. I guess he did get intersted cause he is in Houston at some engine school.

Then I went to see Trevor at TrevTec, to see what my options are. In the end we desided to stroke my old motor. We didnt get into to many details, because I had to pick my son up from school. So it starts again :thumb:

I did realize it at the time but Chris has everything, block, head, intake. And after a trip to Harbor Freight (devilplace). the break down starts

The only reason I went there

Thanks, sorta hard to believe the little guy was 3 when I first brought the car home. Now to finish it before he's old enought to drive :p

Changed my mind about the stroker, staying 2.0 with 10.5:1 Wiseco HD. in the down time I desided to shave my spare VC, it a work in progress

Well its been slow, but Im in no hurry. Moving next week and waiting to get in to the new house before I pull the engine. So far Ive pick up misc gaskets, L19 head studs, BSE, VC is at the powder coater. Once we get all moved we'll see how much I can pi$$ of the new neighbors haha

Well got the block back last week. I managed to lose the front case and head dowels in the move, so put in a order with STM. Waiting on another bonus for Fluiddapr and 2 new AEM gauges, Ill be replacing the 2 glowshits in the vent with digital boost and OP. Heres the CP/Eagle combo at 10.0, .020 over decked. Being ove 110* here lately, Im dreading working in the garage.

These piston are 10.5:1 only in evo 4G63 :) in ours are only 10:1 , I have the same cr pistons but wiseco for my race build. Evos have 43cc combustion chamber and we have a 47cc , so we lose 0,5cr in our dsm 4g63s :)

I'm on the same boat as you, it's either rebuild or be done, just sitting tight and saving up some cash again, good luck with it! Seems like these cars are never easy.

How come your engine stand when from being red to orange WTF?
