I recently switched to ss brake lines. Installation went smooth but noticed 2 or 3 of the fittings on the car side where seized (not spinning anymore). I would like to replace the fitting on the brake line next time I have to mess with the brakes.

What would be the easiest way to do this? cut the existing fitting and replace it with a new one or do i have to replace the entire brake line?

Is it a solid metal line or does it screw in to a rubber brake hose? Sorry i do not know too much about dsms but i am a technician and have been for a while. But if it is a solid metal line almost every parts store makes a "patch" line it is the cheaper way of fixing your problem also its pretty easy. just make sure after doing so to bleed the brakes and check for any leaks. Replacing the entire line CAN be expensive and kind of a pain especially without a lift

I'm pretty sure you can buy the fittings and the tool to flare the line back out at a part store. I don't see why you couldn't replace them.

Are you sure the fittings weren't just held in place by the c-clip that holds the line on the bracket?

Honestly if installation went smooth and there are no leaks, and you have thoroughly tested your brakes for problems, I wouldn't worry about it.

Brake lines are a pain to do right (NO compression fittings) so I would just leave it until you have time to replace the whole line.

If you are in a bind, it is possible and legal to re-flare an old line, but notice I did not say it was easy....

Good luck and be careful when doing any brake work. ALWAYS ALWAYS TEST FIRST.
