:confused:Ok guy this is my first thread so here it goes, I got a 96 eclipse gst and having a hard time figuring out what my problem is, car is not tuned but I don't think that's the cause of the problem but here I go, when I drive my car and step on the gas and when I reach 4000 rpms it like stutter or jelqs but rpms keep going but keeps stuttering, I replaced the spark plugs with NGKS and checked my coil packs and they came out good but my check engine light is on cause of my bad O2 sensors, what can my problem be, help me guys I'm soooo stressed out with this.

I did that and it still does it, when I step on it all the way it stutters at 4000 rpms then a black smoke comes out my exhaust, I just put in a 255 walbro fuel pump and have 550cc injectors on it but I don't think I have a AFPR on it, would that be my problem?

What are you using to compensate for the 550's? If nothing then that may be your problem. Put your stock 450's back on until you have something to adjust fuel trims.. I would also recommend getting a wideband when modding the fuel system and of course an SAFC, ECMlink or a Flash tune will do. If none if this help check the plugs and gap.

I don't think I have anything to compensate my 550's that's how I bought the car LOL if I buy the wideband controller can I keep the 550's or put the stock ones back? After that what would I need to do?

And would I need the gauge wideband or the controller?

I recommend an lc1 wideband with the gauge, but I would definitely put the stock injectors in until you have something to tune and log with. You are dumping excessive amounts of fuel in right now.

I agree with the other members. Change the bad 02, take out the 550's and put the 450's back in until you can control the bigger injectors. Start there and come back with your results. I was in the same boat a few months ago, bought a gst that would barely run because the kid I got it off of put a wally 255 in with 650's with no afpr of afc.

You probably fouled your plugs out with those injectors. Get a new set of Ngk bre6's and gap them to .028 and see if that fixes the stutter problem. Once you get the wideband and the safc, you could put those injectors back in. If you aren't raising the boost past stock with the stock turbo, I wouldn't worry about it though. And as for the fpr with the wally 255, I wouldn't worry about it. You should be fine with the stock fpr as long as it is in good condition.

I would save my money and buy dsmlink instead of getting a safc, but I guess that depends on if you ever want to go bigger. It will be fine for your 550's, but anything over 650, you will need dsmlink or another way to tune.

Then u think I should get a boost controller?

Here is what I think. I think you should replace the stock 450s, plug the wastegate line into your j pipe (or where ever your boost source is), until you order dsmlink or get an eco 8 or a black box ecu with ecuflash, order an innovate wideband and gauge, and get all your maintenance in check. Most people here will probably recommend a afpr with that 255, as do i. I might also pick up new plug wires depending on how old your current ones are. After you do this, then you might want to think about a boost controller.
