My timing belt seems to have to much slack, how do I test it without pulling everything off again??

You should check to see if your tensioner is bad. If there is any visible oil on it, then it is bad. You can take it out and compress it in a vise slowly, if oil comes out of it in any way its shot. When you release tension off it, the piston should return slowly to its expanded position. I know you asked with everything together, but this is worth checking if you're suspicious of timing belt tension. Spending a couple hours or even a day on it is better than a wrecked head!
