Got the 1G coolant leak fixed from the exhaust housing bolt and got it back together and on the ground and started. Now for the tuning prcess as soon as I can find my damn cord in this mess of a barn.

Car has been giving me problems for the past 4 days out of the blue. Starts sometimes, runs for a bit, dies, then does not start until i let it sit for an hour or so. repeat etc.. Well, thought i fixxed it today when i cleaned corroded injector connections, new o rings, and all that fun stuff. It started right up and ran like a top to and from work (35ish miles, 60mph most of the way) then i decide i'll go for a little trip to the store down the street. She started right up, then 15 seconds later half way up my driveway she quit on me. So now i am confused as to what it could be now. The injector maintnence seemed like it fixxed it but i guess now :(

Cable ordered, and patiently waiting.

Waiting sucks..

I was browsing every city and state and found a guy selling v3 link and asked him if he would ship.

Had him put it up on ebay and i made the purchase.

This was on sunday and he barley shipped it out today. And what sucks even more is he said he didnt get tracking because they were charging him $27..

Suspicious? Guy seems legit tho and sale was made on ebay but it made me wonder.

I just hope it gets here

Tried sending you a PM, urbansmoker1, but your inbox is full. So here it is:

What you'd have to do is carefully cut away the outside insulation on the cable few inches from the end, then use an ohm-meter or a low voltage test light to determine what wire goes where in the plug. After that figure out what's where on a spare plug and solder accordingly.

Generally a USB plug has power, ground, two "signal" wires, and a shield. The "shield" is there to reduce electrical "noise" and is attached to the square outside part of the plug. The wires in the plug are usually arranged like so:

D+ and D- being "signal", GND being "ground", and +5V being "power" (USB only uses 5 volts).

Back to topic of the thread: Today got some lexan to make windows/tops out of.

Not today, but the other day, finished painting and installing new intake pipe and filter. It really made the spool sound loud. Also freed up a lot of top end power. Next, I'm planning to replace front o2, and paint the valve cover wrinkle red.

Also, on a non dsm note, my friend installed a bike rack and painted his mirrors red on his civic. He does not even own a bike. *facepalm*

Yesterday I got up early and started working on my DSM pretty much for the first time in years. It's been nothing but a driveway ornament. Two months ago I got it started and drove it down the road, got the old map on the ECU, it pulled hard but gave me instant boost leaks, bad! So it went right back to the driveway.

I had fixed my boost leak tester a few days before and the wife was hungover real bad (Sunday) so it gave me the time to sneak out and get under the hood. Five boost leaks later and everything seemed tight. I let it run for a while and went out for a drive. I had to rip it once (ok, thrice) but it pulled real hard on stock boost and put a big smile on my face.

New fuel rail o-rings, fresh plugs, and general playing under the hood for a good time

crunk up the talon for the first time since the build today. couldn't keep it running because I haven't hooked up all the vac lines yet and it was leaking oil from the oil filter housing but it paid off in being able to hear it run today yay

Crossed the 2000km mark on Sunday, still runs pretty good. Partial throttle PK is pissing me off; I hate the 1g KS. Once I get on it though, I will rarely hit >3 count unless I'm exceeding 1500Hz on the 1g MAS. Only when my foot is hard down will I usually enjoy a knockless experience, but it changes so many frequencies in the engine that I'm not surprised.

So fun seeing the shocked look on Mustangs, Chevelles, and MR2s when they realize that this little single tone silver bucket can accelerate to the speed limit swiftly.

Pretty much finished interior side engine/ecu harness. Still need to route a few wires and solder a couple more things but I'm almost done.
