I got mine from Ace alternator on Ebay. The first one died in about two weeks or a month, and left me stranded calling a flatbed. They were real good about sending me a replacement quickly, but I'm not sure it's all it's cracked up to be. I still only see about 13.6 volts instead of the 14.5 they advertise.

built a full 3" exhaust and fixed an oil pan leak. ordered some new parts and am getting ready to do an alignment and its set for the road.

I said that too..But after the allignment things went wrong.

LOL short of the body every part of my car has been replaced now. its getting to the point where i cant even throw money at the car to make it work. Now its just tuning and driveability fixes. for the first time in 2 years the car will be all together tomorrow afternoon.

Parted out the automatic 97 shell my buddy had over the weekend.

I grabbed the bumpers, side stakes, rust free hatch, factory 17s, some interior pieces, HKS Hi Power Exhaust, interior wiring harness and fuse box plus the tail lights.

well after months of tracking down what was wrong with my car. Found out valve guides were shot got a new head installed today is the moment of truth first start, wish me luck!

GL.

Put a vinyl washer between the knock sensor and block because I was getting crazy phantom knock (even at idle after switching to Rotella T 15w40). That shut the baby up quite a bit... unless I managed to choke the thing out entirely and now I have a dead baby.

Anyway, that 15w40 is thick stuff. B/S delete, head port mod, OFH port mod and I'm idling at around 15psi now super hot but 60psi at 2k. If I go WOT I bet I'm bypassing the filter altogether at 4.5k because the pressure is so high. :(

Pulled my first transmission to put a shim on the pivot ball, did I forget to mention I'm only 16 :)

Got my battery back from getting charged up,put it in and car cranked right away.

But it was running funny, turns out one of my spark plugs came loose..

So to fix that and get the car back on the road.

The old non-DSM got new shoes. Went the complete opposite way from the 20" concave setup in grey, and moved to a 19" step-lipped design in brushed/polished. Corey/gofer gets Photoshop props for helping me pick these over the same wheels in black. No more dark wheels for me, though I'm going to have a lot of fun keeping these clean... :p

They look great Kris, you should take a side shot and see how close it actually looks to the PS. Thanks for the props btw... Also, have you ever though about pulling apart the headlight housing and painting it black? Sounds like I might have given myself another PS assignment, shit.

Now go eat some fermented cabbage. LOL

:dsm:

Did more work on my wiring harness. Engine side harness is 95% done, everything is going where I need it to go, all that I have left is to test fit it in the car and then loom it. ECU and chassis harnesses need to be test fitted, some final things run and then they are done.

Almost there!

I can do that. I'd like to wash it before taking any more pics, though. ;)

Headlights are in the plan. Either black, or Nord Grey (color match). CCFL "halos" would likely go in at the same time. I'm too chickenshit to do it in my oven, so I need donor lights and then I'll ship these off. (see also: CALL US (909) 684-5044 FlyRyde )

Did a test fit in a friends car, I can loose another foot of wire in my chassis/fuse box harness, w00t!
I'll be installing and testing it all this weekend.

I swapped everything over to my rebuilt head and installed it. Fun times. Cleaned all the griminess off stuff while I was at it. Needless to say I was slightly dirty.

Fixing to put it back on the road after destroying my spider gears.
