Yes i have been doing some research and looking at logs and dyno sheets and not to sure what is the best intake manifold to get. I know the stock intake wont cut the 2.3 anymore. I know there is JMF and Magnus out there. Also AMS right? I would like to know which one would be best for my 2.3 stroker? I am going with 272 cams and dual valve springs on my head. Thanks for any help.

Why won't the stock IM cut it anymore?

I run a evo3 IM instead of a SMIM on my 2.4 because I am not willing to sacrafice any torque.

Nice. And wont i loose HP with it that's what i was trying to get to also? And How did you get a evo3 to bolt up is it direct fit?

Wont the evo3 Intake be a complete 180* from the 2g engine? And i just looked it up and i am a bit confused on it. I have never heard of this before.

It probably won't make as much HP as a SMIM in the higher rpms but the added torque in the low and mid range will make you forget all about that. Plus you can't rev out a stroker engine very high anyways.

What are your power goals for the car and is it going to be a track car or mostly street drivin car? Those should be inportant factors in helping me decide which IM to run.

Nope a EVO 1-3 is pretty much identical to a dsm as far as the drivetrain goes and some of the parts are upgrades over the crap we get here in the states like the turbo and IM. I have one on my 2.4 dsm and LOVE it.

Here is a thread about it: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/bolt-tech/245603-lancer-evolution-iii-intake-manifold.html

The Evo 3 had the same 7 bolt design as DSM's. They swapped everything around for the 4.

I have an Evo 3 IM on my car. Bolts right on. It's a nice piece. Runners are a little shorter, but everything lines up in the right place. There is a huge thread on here regarding it. Check it out.

Ahhh....you ninja edited me. Lol.

I have a HP goal of 500 and that's right you don't rev high in a stroker. And my car is going to be weekend car but only drag if i make my goal.

And i wasn't thinking when i asked the last question. I knew my answer but didn't think. Sorry

I was wondering about all the sensors will they still hook up?

My evo3 IM has no provisions for the mdp sensor or the egr so if you are still planning on passing emissions that may be a problem. The RVR IM I believe has the egr provision. Read through that thread I linked to for all the info you could possibly need about these manifolds.

Ok cool i deleted all emissions so that's not a problem. And i will be getting ECMlink soon to tune.

Also what would be a good throttle body to use on the EVO3 intake? I was thinking 1g bout didnt know what others had used.

I was in the same boat as you a few months ago. I have a 2g 2.3 264 cams, E16G turbo. With stock manifold engine was torque monster. I switched to a JMF street manifold, which is smaller than their race and drag manifolds. I have noticed very slight slower spool, and a drop in torque from 2k-3.5k rpm. This drop probably will not be noticeable in a manual transmission car. I am auto.

If you are shooting for 500hp, you are going to need to spin the 2.3 to about 7500 rpm. If you get 272 cams, get Kelfrog, if not those then GSC S2 cams. Dont get HKS.

JMF street manifold will make more top end power
