Hey I have a 99 gst spyder and would prefer to not go for a 95 eprom since my computer is reflashable?

Ive read taxtrix 1.3 or 2.0 cable with evoscan or eculink are the way to go???? Can anyone confirm this?

Also are there other options??
and if I stick with this should I go 2.0 or 1.3

I read somewhere 1.3 was better for my 99 car but I know 2.0 is the newer product... any advice on which to buy ???
thanks

Only the tactrix 2.0 cable will allow you to flash your ECU:

Tactrix Openport 2.0

The 1.3 is only good for logging, you will not be able to make changes to your ECU due to the low voltage output.

ECUlink, or DSMlink would require you to purchase a chipped EPROM ECU, and is a totally different platform than ECUflash.

Also you will need ceddymods to go along with the tactrix cable:

CeddyMods « ceddy.us

Good hunting.

X2, my bud is running the flashable ecu along with the tactrix 2.0 cable.

What do you mean 180 load? manifold pressure or something?
I can tune quite well on a GM using HPTuners

also we dont purchase maps we create them through logging and taking logs and adjusting the existing maps to match the modded cars needs. Is it way different?

also if you have evoscan and ecuflash do you need ceddy mods

Again, wish you followed the link and read.

I am also using it.. But I do need to purchase the big maps so I can see beyond 180 load.

Well, purchasing usually involves the exchange of money, so let me follow the link to the site. From there, it is painfully easy to navigate to this page, aptly named the "store":

Store « ceddy.us

Seriously, you are going to have problems with this tuning solution if you can't even make it to the website.

I didnt mean that this is how to do make maps?

I meant my experience with HPT seemed different so I was genuinely asking hence the "?"

yea didnt read it yet, ordered the hardware today I got a week to read on it and get into software but thanks.

WTF

All the maps are created already in Ceddymods. I think the software is 5 bucks, or 25 for the big maps. You say you have experience in HPTuners. I don't, but if you have experience in excel, adjusting injector latencies, scaling injectors, and logging fuel trims and your wideband you should be fine. On the EvoultionM.com forum there's a member named 'recompile' that created a whole set of videos for tuning an EVO. I'm pretty sure he uploaded them to Youtube as well. They use the same software so it will very very similar. Also, Google "Merlin's guide to ECUFlash Tuning" and download the PDF file. It's 170 pages and very useful. There's also a guide to dialing your injectors in on Ceddy's website.

You need the Tactrix 2.0 Cable with the Mitsubishi flash plug, EVOScan, ECUFlash.

Cool yea if I can see spread sheets on all that stuff I should be fine, I only just started to read that stuff, but I will finish reading it before I dive in. Thanks guys
