It was awesome meeting all of you guys and getting a chance to sit in this thing!

This shootout was a blast!!! The SL-R did awesome at autox, all car no driver :p (me driving) Very very happy for its first time going around corners and thank you thank you J for letting me drive it! It even did great down the 1/4 mile for it's first full pass, 11.9@117 leaving the line easy(1.99 60'), shifting at 6-6.5k and going through the traps in 5th. 95 mph in the 1/8th :) Perfectly stable the entire time, the front splitter modification worked!

:D

Good to hear! There is a clip of the 11.9 run in this video I put together. Nice meeting you Matt, even though it was just for a second.

I loved reading through all the posts on your ride. The video of your run was pretty good, I want to see a vid of you really working it though! How well does she ride? Is this something you think that is daily drivable (like couple times a week) or only track? I know how our 2g's feel when making good power does your SLR even compare? I think what you have done is just amazing man, I love everything about it (maybe not the color of your splitter as much, paint it black!) but just an incredible project that gives mad props to this site and our DSM community. Thanks for giving me a couple hours of VERY interesting reading material and ideas for the future! great Job!

I've only seen /j a couple times since the shootout. The sl-r has been running since however, parked in the garage since its been snowy all winter. Last I knew he was trying to get it street legal. Trying to find a loop hole so we actually can.

It makes an appearance in the Shootout DVD trailer VVV If you havent, buy one of his DVDs!!

im sure if he cant do it in WI he can have someone in MI do it then "sell" it to him.

He has family that lives in Il so hes thinking of doing it that way or something.. But, again, I havent heard much from him lately. However, here is one of his new vids from a kinda local dyno day.
