On my 6 bolt I got one of the lower exhaust stud holes re tapped because of a broken tap in there (wasn't me who broke the tap off in there, bought it that way). Now I had it re tapped for me and now that the head is back on the car coolant is coming out of that hole. Its the lower hole that's closest to the power steering pump. Would it be ok to put locktite on that stud put it back in and let it dry for a day or two? Would that seal it? I really don't feel like taking the head back off as its just my beater but I guess if I have to I will. Thanks

The machine shop that rebuilt my head helix-coiled one of my exhaust stud holes too, soon after I started seeing oil on the top of my exhaust manifold and thought it was the VC gasket. After a year I finally found out what happened, when they drilled out the threads the drilled all the way into an oil passage which sounds like they same thing that happened to you but coolant.

Just use black RTV on the stud threads going into the head and let it sit for 12 hours, it won't leak again...

Was it the bottom middle stud that was into the oil drain back? Because it's that way from the factory....
