It's never gonna happen...Or maybe it'll go down like Freddy Vs. Jason. I remember rumors of that movie going around when I was in grade school circa 1989. We all forgot about it...then boom, almost 20 years later...

There's a lot of people still waiting on this. It's really not that hard to wire one in yourself, though. It cleans up all the engine bay clutter by getting rid of the bulk of the wire harness mess.

It will happen, its a great idea and would be very profitable. Anyone with the time, resources, and the ability can do it, and turn a good profit. The problem is that every year has a different ecu pinout, which means every ecu is made for a specific year. Which makes making them much more time consuming.
I have tested the 'prototype' and it does work, somewhat... When the few little kinks are worked out it will be a great product.

I hope it does. I'm going a different route than PnP, but I know there are a LOT of guys waiting on this. When I get another NT DD, I will definitely be looking into getting one. I wasn't trying to bash it at all, it just seems like it's been an eternity.

Yeah sorry to the 420a community for not sticking out that project and showing what it had but I think the problem is it's such a DIY tuning solution making it PnP is more difficult than it would be if it were already a user friendly setup. I know Paul will get the kinks worked out and put out a good product in due time.

Eh, the tuning doesn't seem to be the problem. I think it's just a lot more work than people realize. Everyone just seems to think that anyone with an OEM connector and soldering skills can throw one together pretty easily. While this is somewhat true, it still takes a lot of time; as anyone who as built an MS unit can imagine. Also, as I mentioned before each ECU has a different pinout, so that's a different configuration for every year, which complicates things even further.

Worth the wait... shouldn't they just drop like a version of it now with like ms2 and then finish one with ms3 and stop selling the ms2 IDK LOL.. Theyre probaly losing money on it by now its been like 2 years off research and develop....

I wish this was out and available already ,,, sounds awesome . Cant wait (paces around the house)

you better grab a snickers bar and sit down..i dont want ## legs to get tired LOL

A got a box of snickers bars , thanks for the suggestion LOL my legs were getting tired :hellyeah: time to go tinker with something for a while

It would be a lot better if they just did a harness that plugged between the stock ecu and the engine harness and have the harness of the MS of that so that the MS controlled the engine and the rest was the stock ECU's job....

I think this would be a easier and would sell even more....IMO

Doubtful for a product 5 years after talking about it, especially in a dying market like this. I'd bet if it was happening it would have by now.

Trust me if your not wiring savy its worth that extra 300 and most tuning solutions are up in that ball park all said and done anyway.

This is the message I got from Symtech regarding the pnp.

"Unfortunately our PnP 420A MegaSquirt project is on hold at the moment. We do not offer a PnP kit for current MegaSquirt users, but thank for your interest in our products."
