Im thinking im going to need new valves and where can i get some good valves... i would like to get to put a 1g motor swap but how much work would that be and what would i need

If your asking those questions you shouldn't attempt a motor swap. First thing if your sure you have bent valves you need to pull the head. Get it checked out by a good machine shop I'm sure you will need more Then just valves.

If the valves are bent, good chance the guides are cracked and will need replaced.

If the guides are replaced, the valve seats need to be cut.

So your saying that i couldnt replace the valves i would have replace the head then...where could i get some good heads

You can have your head fixed.. or just get a head from the supporting vendors or supporting freelancers.
Since you are a proven member, you can check the classifieds for a head.

feel free to give us a call anytime we have heads ready to ship in 48 hours and even have good cores available if needed. Strictly Import Motorsports (269)350-9055, here is the link to our heads. DSM Race Heads

Could i get away just changing the valves

Would a 6bolt motor head work on a 7lucky bolt motor

Would a 6bolt motor head work on a 7 bolt motor

Yes you can bolt a 6 bolt head on a 7 bolt block.

You will need the 6 bolt intake and themastat housing.

Also if valve the cam sensor behind the intake cam gear, there is no mounting bosses for it on a 6 bolt head.

You could change the calves and have the head worked but there's always that chance that's its worse than you thought

Once you pull the head off, perform this test to see if there is any piston damage.

As for the valves, won't a leakdown test (after valves are replaced and before the head is back on car) show if a guide is cracked/leaking? Either way, a machine shop will be able to tell if there is a problem. Sounds like you'r on a budget for this. Go to the shop to get an estimate. Like some say, it might be cheaper to get a new head. At local shop it cost $400 to get valves and guides replaced, parts included.

I have a 6 bolt motor sitting around that i been trying to rebuild to put in my 2g car

Roughly how much would valves and everything i need cost

Depending on brand of valves, and if they are replacement parts store valves or Stainless steel valves.. figure $120 a set and up, set of cast iron replacement guides are around $40, bronze guides would be around $100
