Hey guys, I'm working on my 1g 1991 thermostat housing.

This year I won't be running the stock cooler nor heater core nor FIAV ...

Is it safe to block the heater core and fiav ports at the thermostat housing and return water pipe ? I was also planning of running no water line to my evo3 16g, I wanted to plug that port also on the thermostat housing. Would this create more pressure cause the coolant would have no where to go until the thermostat open ?

My turbo timer is always set around 1-2 minutes ...

Thanks

I don't think blocking them off will hurt anything, the radiator cap is what determines pressure in the system. I would run coolant to the evo 3 though...they made it water cooled for a reason

I have personally seen more rubber caps leak and dry rot. I like to loop my coolant lines, but If you can find good rubber caps that are made for coolant theres no reason to not block off your lines.

Please have coolant go to your turbo, its made to run coolant threw it.
