Hey I was wondering if any1 with an eclipse lives in Modesto or near Modesto

Reason....
I just bought a 1995 eclipse gs 5 speed an it won't start I replaced everything besides the ecu an tired of spending money on it without being sure an was wandering if someone would let me borrow there's an see if it works or not

Good luck with that the 95 2GNT has the most unique ecu of all the 2GNTs. Anyway your best bet would be to find one at pick n pull or ebay.

What exactly does it do? I remember my car wouldn't start and I couldn't figure out the problem so I wire a secret button that jumped the started. Try hot wiring/jumping the starter and see if it spins. Have you checked the clutch safety switch?

Y do u say that? An yeah I went an got one but they only had auto so it's throwing a code cause mines a 5 spd

Even if the ECU is for auto the car should still start. My dads 95 gs is running an auto ecu but has a check engine light on.Other than that it runs fine. So if your car doesnt start with the auto ecu then you have a problem somewhere else. What have you replaced exactly? Have you check if its getting fuel, spark?

Yeah it works alright but still need to find one so I can smog it
