ok so heres the deal. I left for a little while and my car sat for about a month when I left everything was perfect. now after I came back after driving around and my coolant overflow was almost full and it was boiling. well upon finding this out I replaced the thermostat and radiator cap. and there isn't any change. any thoughts?

I thought about that but right before I left I put on a 20g turbo so had the coolant completely drained and new coolant put in. ive read a little bit about "burping" the system. what are your thoughts?

Was the overflow bottle actually boiling or was it BUBBLING? It sounds to me like you're pushing coolant. Unfortunately this would mean the head gasket is failing and allowing combustion gasses to flow into the coolant chambers and force the coolant (push coolant) back into the overflow Bottle.

Do a Leakdown test or Compression test on the cylinders and the cooling system.

Maybe someone was joyriding your car when you were away.

Also check if the coolant hose that connects to the overflow bottle is over the top coolant hose and not under. For some reason I routed mine under one time and it would start to boil over and hear up. I moved it back on top and haven't had a problem since.

ok will do the compression test. and the joy ride is not out of the question. I left it with someone I work with so I wouldn't have a dead battery when I got back from my deployment and had some new issues that weren't there before. and I will definitely try the reroute I believe it is underneath if it was that simple it would be awesome but im fearing the head gasket. but so far haven't had and coolant and oil mixing and absolutely no smoke. hopefully its not because of someone else....

and im not sure if its boiling its probably just bubbling over. thanks again.

ok so I burped the system and routed the hose that connects to the overflow and went for a nice drive. nothing crazy just the way I normally drive. but the verdict is I think its fixed. came back im still waiting for it to cool down so I can check the radiator level but the overflow level is the same and no bubbling! as always thanks for the help fellas.
