Sold the car today. Unfortunately I was not able to put the time into fixing it since we are moving next week. Guy that bought it lives in Leadville so you wont see it driving around here anymore. Thanks to all the help I got from you guys and I had a lot of fun meeting up and cruising with most of you. I will be back in a couple years with a new DSM and hopefully the scene is still going here.

That is a sad sad bro... Sorry to see you go, but to be honest you can find a better car down south where it dose not snow and no salt/sand corrosion. I have a few buddies down that way mostly at fort Rucker and Huntsville AL. But still some pretty good guys. You should have fun down there, still a nice import seen there and loads of DSMs to chose from...some people down south don't like the Eclipse because they are still but hurt and amped on the hole F&F "almost had me, you never had me, you never had your car" thing but yeah. Look for a 5speed next! Lol

Autos are quicker with breaking less parts that's why you where able to sell your car so fast. Sad you had to let it go!

But you are right about the import scene being way better down south the car scene out there is so nice there IFO races are always packed with great turn outs.

Yeah a jacks 5speed trans will work just as good. I have one that is going in my AWD swap. The fastest automatic swap has a seriously built automatic but still a fast car! Lol

Your either drunk out out of your freaking mind if you think a jacks tranny will compare to an auto.
Reliability.. not even a comparison. You probably haven't been around long enough to see how easy it is to break ANY 5 speed trans other then a dogbox
Faster times... can be argued either way
Consistent... auto
Price.. to build an auto is less then HALF what a jacks trans is.

The auto OWNS any jack 5 speed in anything other then sheer fun of shifting the gears.

We have a new gear-set which is rated at 700hp reliably. We have sold many of them and they are very popular. People love them!

The autos can break too and at 700+ they can break just like the 5-speed. Unfortunately, if you make a lot of power in a DSM you risk breaking anything no matter what you have. It's just all part of racing.

Good luck with the swap! We have done many here and it definitely makes for a unique car

Just to say I wasn't talking about the trans alone I was referring to the hole drive line with the auto VS 5 speed. No matter what trans you have it will brake with power and driving style.

Do a search. It has been over 7 years and he can't leave me alone. He always has to say something about me personally, the company or whatever he can think of. Boarderlines which have to keep saying things about you for years on end is no fun. Look at his post, who is he mentioning over and over?

I haven't heard any complaints with jacks before.. But I don't agree with the stalking comment although it did seem like ba109296 was bashing on jacks transmissions. I'm on neither side though

Yikes, I go away from forums for two days and his is what happens? @ ba, I bought a car that needed more work than I thought and I tend to break cars anyways because I drive them like they are all full blown racecars.

I think ANY shop is going to have haters and I have never had an issue with Jacks although I have heard a couple that had. I used them a couple times and had no issues.

That was amazing to see in person. Jeff Bush and the Egnlish Team have really pulled it off. Those 3kGT rear axles are so stout.
