I was just wondering how many months out of the year the weather is bad? Not driving my car in the snow, let alone through the salt they put on the road. Thanks

It really depends on the year. This year was so dry we didn't get snow until December/January and it started raining around March/April. So just a few months of snowfall, and even then I only recall a few snow-filled days this entire year.

But on average, I'd say we get maybe 1-2 weeks total of snowy days all year. So if you don't want to ever be caught in the snow, a winter beater would be a good thing to have. We have an old F150 that we park by the house just for snow days (and towing DSM's). But it doesn't get much use.

Really no salt?

& thanks for the answer I am originally from Socal & currently stationed in GA. So snow has never been a factor. My car is already gonna be down on power from its current setup once I moved up there... Hope its enough.

They spray Magnesium Chloride instead. It's still corrosive but not as bad as salt or Sodium Chloride.

Oh, and sand... lots and lots of sand... a nightmare for motorcyclists.
