Hello dsm tuners
I would like some help here please. I have a 95 GSX that I would like to put some goodies on.
First off it has a EVO3 JDM motor in it, Act 2500 clutch, manuel boost controler, boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, oil chatch can, redtop battery, stock manfold, stock turbo, factory side mount intercooler, I just changed all fluids so im good on all that stuff, has a first gen BOV uncrushed, mitsumoto aluminum radiator, a/c delete, ngk plugs and wires, balance shaft elemination kit, all new belts. ARP headstuds, full apexi 4" exhaust, svt cobra frount brakes.
Things I would like to do:
Basicly I have a 91 GSX with a brand new EVO3 Big 16g turbo that I want to swap on the 95, it has all new oil and cooler lines, I would like to put this on and do it right, by doin it right i mean getting all the fuel system setup for the turbo.
I would aslo like to buy the ecm link kit for it, but not to familiar for the the ecu, would my ecu need to be socketed? I also want to get a wide brand AFR. But i need help on where to by and what extras I should consider for the ECM link.?
Any other input on this built would be awesome.
Thanks to all.

Depends on what your future goals are? How much power do you want to stop at? And will you ever go be going bigger then evo3 turbo? You have a 95 so there is a strong chance you could have a eprom ecu
-ecmlink... lots of info on the ecmlink website
-any size injectors, but bigger will be better encase you decide down the road you want to make big numbers, this way you dont have to spend money on injectors twice
- a 190 fuel pump will probably work, unless you got big plans down the road, then at least to a 250 fuel pump along with a fuel pressure regulator
-rewire your fuel pump..no matter what one you go with

Use this link to see if your ecu is eprom but as far as I know '95 has no eprom. You can get a eprom ecu with link on classifeid here, I did the same thing.
A wideband is one thing you need when tuning so get one! The AEM EUGO is good, I have one myself but there are many good ones out there.

If your planning on running an EvoIII16G maybe you should upgrade your fuelpump to 255. Theres plenty of info on convertibg to 16G on tuners here.

Good luck

What is your budget? What are your power goals? For a "wideband" I use an LC-1 on my cars. I have one with the XD-16 gauge in my 99 and one with the DB gauge on my 95. I like them because they can simulate a narrowband O2 sensor, are digital, and I can plug them into my laptop instead of having to wire them into a pin on my ECU. ECMLink is a great tool for tuning. The forum has lots of info and help. The other cheaper option is swapping a 98-99 ECU in. Then you'd need the Tactrix 2.0 cable, Ceddymods (do a search on those), EVOScan and you're set. The problem is that it's not as user friendly and there is some support for it, but not nearly as much as ECMLink. I have a 98-99 ECU in my 95 with a 6 bolt swap. All I did was swap plug wires and plug in the new ECU and wire in the flash port which was one wire. Or you can swap in an EVO8 ECU. There is some wiring that needs to be one for that. Some ECU pins need to be swapped.

For my 99, I put in an EVO9 fuel pump which flows about 205 which I bought used for 40 bucks. The stock fuel pressure regulator can still control it so no need for an aftermarket AFPR. A 255 would most likely require one. The EVO9 pump is good for about 400whp. Some have run more, some have run less but good enough for me. For fuel injectors, 650-750's would be good for a 16g. Unless you're running e85, then get some 1000's. And rewire the pump.

ECMLink v3 is good to go on the 95 ecu. I have a 95 gsx ecu in my 98 and it was already eprom ready for dsmlink.

next mod should be bigger fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, bigger fuel injectors, and 6an feed/return lines.

get all that dialed in and come back ;)

also for wideband i recommend aem uego.

Some good stuff guys.
As far as budget. Im only looking to stick about 2grand into it.
I will stick with the big16g evo 3 turbo. I also need a good turbo timer, unless the ecm link can vontrol the timer. My goal is to have a good fast and reliable street/drag gsx on pump 93 oct gas.
I just discovered that there is an oil leak coming from what I believe to be behind the timing belt cover on the side of the motor. So Ill be getting this fixed first. I never pulled a motor out of one of these so tips would be great. But I can just look up a how to on here I'm sure :p
Whats a good boost controler also. I'd

prefer to be able to adjust it from on the cockpit. ?

With a 2k budget, buy smart. You don't need new fuel lines or a crazy big fuel pump or crazy big injectors for a 16g. Turbo timers aren't needed. Just don't go doing WOT pulls and shut the car down right away. I've never had one but I also have 5 speed cars and park my car in gear.

Adjusting the boost from inside the car you'll need a Hallman MBC with the in-cab cable, or I think Turbo-XS makes one. I have the Turbosmart e-boost 2 in my 99 which is an electronic boost controller that displays boost and I can set multiple boost settings from inside the car. With a 2k budget, I wouldn't bother getting fancy. I have a MBC in my 95 that I'm tuning and pulling over to turn the dial only takes 30 seconds and isn't that big of a hassle.

If running pump gas on a 16g I'd get
EVO9 fuel pump
680 injectors
FMIC
LC-1 or other wideband
ECMLink or other tuning method
and if you're not comfortable tuning spend the rest on a professional tune

And you probably don't need to pull the motor to fix the oil leak. I eliminated my balance shafts with the engine in the car. But I did have the front core support out because it was getting replaced with a non rusted through one. So I had a little more room to work. But it wouldn't have been much harder had the front end been on the car still.

ok so I was on ebay a found this fuel pump
http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=140954416023
also found injectors
http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=260896727959
The waters lines are still all there brand new infact because my first gen is an auto and had a 13b turbo with smaller lines. I got all the lines from extreme psi. This 16G is ready. :)

edit:
found this wideband O2 kit
http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=300785993980
or this one

Get the innovative over the glowshift as far as wideband goes. The innovative also comes with a serial cable and software to datalog and all that jazz... I believe with the glowshift you still need to buy all the cables and software to do that.

The evo pump looks fine, but I don't think the whole assembly works in our tanks ? Someone else will though.

As far as the injectors... I've seen better deals. Look around at vendors and the classifieds. People sell em all day for around 175-200 that have really low miles.

the fuel pump assembly wont fit i have a bosh 044 that is just laying around collecting dust pm me if your interested . also i would get the act hd pressure plate and a 6 puck sprung disc

With a 2K budget, I'd go with ECM link V3, get there boost control solenoid as well so you can regulate boost through link, 650cc or higher injectors depending on if you find a deal, walbro 255 fuel pump with install kit and rewire it, innovate LC-1 wideband kit, glow shift boost gauge (doesn't matter what boost gauge really just something to keep track of your boost), FMIC kit (VR-Speed is a good one) and tune
