Fluid inside Slave Cylinder Leaked

I was working on my engine swap when the piston and dust cap popped off the slave cylinder and fluid inside leaked.

Will refilling clutch fluid reservoir and bleeding the system refill the fluid inside the slave cyclinder? Or should i buy a new one? Current the clutch pedal sticks to the bottom of floor.

You probably would want to go get another one and bleed the system thoroughly.

That's a bad slave. Replace it.

classic sign of a bad slave. buy a brand new one and install it then bleed it properly and verify the clutch pedal is no longer mushy or stuck to the floor. they cheap at the auto parts store.

what direction does piston go in. and how do i get it in? do i take off rubber dust cap?

A sign of a bad slave? Interesting. I had dust cap and piston fall out while working on my clutch. I just put it back together, and added some fluid and the clutch is still working like a charm and there's no leak at the slave cylinder.

For those that stated this indicates a bad slave would you explain why?

if fluid is leaking past the seal inside the bore than you are not getting full pressure to the clutch fork and could run into bigger problems down the line

so i got the new installed and and bleed it. worked solid. i havent worked on the clutch in about a week. i hit the clutch today and it stays stuck on the floor. but after i pumped it a few times it worked as normal. did it act up because i havent used it? or i need to bleed again?
