I have in question the idea of scaling the injectors to a lower flow than they really are. Can i set them to 450 with the proper latencies and have no issues if they are 850's? Some people have told me i cant do that. Is this so?

No. You need to set the injector scaling near 850 with the correct latencies for the injectors.

The latency has more of an effect at low loads/RPM while the scaling has more of an effect at higher loads.

Sorry i meant 750's. You mean i should probably start at 700-730. And work my way up?

Start with 750 and see where you need to go from there.

I have a question on the scaling at WOT. If your wb is richer than the map, why would you increase the scaling. Wouldnt that make it even richer? Shouldnt it be the contrary to match your map?

I know this is an old thread but I figure I'd give an explanation in case anyone else searches... If you put in a higher number, the ECU will think that injector needs to be open less amount of time to flow a given amount of fuel. If you put in a lower number, the ECU will think that injector is smaller and needs to stay open longer to flow the same amount of fuel. Take for example an 900 injector versus a 450 injector. Both have the same fuel pressure going to them. It'll take the 900 injector half as long to inject a certain amount of fuel because it can flow more.

A 900cc injector can fill 900 cubic centimeters in one minute. A 450cc injector can fill 450 cubic centimeters per minute. The 900 injector will only need to be open for 30 seconds to equal the flow of the 450. A 1350cc injector will only need to be open for 20 seconds to match the output a 450 injector can do in a minute.

So, if you're running rich at WOT, you scale the injectors bigger so the ECU keeps them open for a shorter amount of time. If they are open for a shorter amount of time, less fuel is injected. Less fuel equals a leaner mixture.
 
So if I put FIC 650s in my car and had my injector scaling set to 550 to my best understanding this would work out good for me?

Why in gods name would that work out good for you? What is happening inside your brain to think setting your scaling for 550 cc/min injectors would be best for the 650 cc/min injectors you have installed? Why not try scaling for 650 cc/min injectors?
 
I don't know that's why I am asking I am new to ceddy mods and tuning.

If you have your injector latencies adjusted for the bigger injectors, and your Air to Fuel ratio on your wideband matches what is in the fuel map, and your car idles correctly, and your fuel trim are +/- 5%, then yes.
