I bought and entire gas lens kit from the local welding store for like 7.xx$ the hazmat costs as much as the actual order.

Which leads me to my next question is it normal to be charged hazmat for consumables like that including filler rod?

At my level I doubt I will even be able to tell the difference but, I wasn't able to get the 2% lanthanated in 3/32nd so I just got 1.5%.

Lanth balls up much quicker than ceriated, lanth is better for aluminium.

You might get charged hazmat if you picked up thoriated since it's radioactive.

Don't confuse him :D
It balls up on a transformer machine not on a inverter machine.

LOL! Everything I have been reading in regards to the inverter machines points to 2% lanthanated being the go to tungsten for all around use. That's why I chose that in particular.

We will see I guess!

Everything's gonna get an acetone rub down before start up.

Look at the compressor inlet and the skatter shield. Needs some chopping to fit a coupler haha.

i am guessing that you don't want to weld directly to the inlet?

It was easier to just weld both sides in this case. I didn't want to over heat the flange trying to do a single higher amperage pass.
