2297 without me, and I weight 220.
And I have no clue what the spring rate is. I need to get a better suspension, but that's gonna have to wait, cause I need a better stronger bottom end. So that's gonna have to happen first, then I'll move on to the suspension.


2297lbs is super light! I'm hoping to get my hog auto1G DSM down to 2700lbs. I'm also glad to see an eagle rod block hold up to a low 9 second pass. My current short block is an eagle rod Ross (8.8.1) piston non-filled block. I'm shooting for a mid 9second pass before I upgrade to a new short block. I'm really worried about it not holding up.

A high compression (10.0.1 or 10.5.1) weisco armor coated and aluminum rod half filled block is in the future for sure for me.

Goodluck on getting into the 8's. Do you plan on competing at the shootout in AUG? If so, quick 16?

If the car's together at the time, it will be there. Possible classes are either Bracket 1, Quick 16, or stock-appearing turbo....I have a couple possible new turbos planned regardless of what class he chooses. ;)
 
No since that's not a stock appearing turbo already been covered.

Dave buschur specifically said DSM cars can use any of the stock appearing EVO turbochargers including the FPblack (and make 700+whp) and race in the stock appearing class, now that EVO & DSM stock classes are combined.

It's entirely possible that stock appearing cars run faster and quicker than DSE class.

Dave specified it would be a dsm utilizing the "evo" stock appearing Green/Red/Black etc. The DSM version of the green/red/black would not fit the rules. At least from what I understood.

I'm gonna jump into this late. That's an awesome run, I'm excited to see 8's soon.

I got my hx40 for 150 with minimal shaft play, rebuilt it and now swapping in a BEP housing. My build is going to take sometime to get put together so I wont actually be able to run my holset till next summer but I can't wait!

Dave i wanted to ask you, do yo think you will be maccing out the turbo at 45psi? If your flowing 70lb a min your already right at the edge of the efficiency zone. Are you gonna take it farther? I'm curious to know where you will hit an airflow wall at. Ive got my .70 AR bep bolted up right now, just trying to figure out how to line the custom o2 housing up with the down pipe, vband is awesome! Itll be nice and easy to swap a side exit on for track days!

I'm not even really sure anymore. Once I leave the line I'm in full boost all the way through the gears, and I haven't done a 3rd gear pull on the streets in for ever.

Running the same turbo setup? When are you getting yours running? Its either this or I am mulling over 2 other options and ditching my 35R.

The only difference in my turbo is that it's a 7 blade compressor. I have the same hx40 otherwise with the .70 BEP


Cool, I'll eagerly await. Mines a Volvo billet 6 blade, should be here this week.

Well guys, still waiting for my Boostin performance tcase to show up, so I can get this car back to the track making faster passes! I can't even swap to another tcase and go, cause
the broken tcase also destroyed my yoke.
 
Take any martial arts or boxing in your life, Dave? I used to like setting the high scores on those machines by kicking them. I got thrown out of a Dave and Busters one time for that.

No, just have a lot of upper body strength / power. Ive thrown 90lb versa-lock blocks around for 14 years stacking retaining walls and so on. I also dug trees for three years and that was some sstraight up hardcore labor LOL handling 200 lbs - 1000 lbs trees and stacking them on trailers was all upper body stuff.

Not horrible for you no, but all that bulk isn't necessarily a good idea in the realm of martial arts where it slows you down. I mainly meant gym as in Mr. Universe types. "meatheads" you would call them.


FWIW I use the gym too, but I don't live there. Part of how I've been trained though. :shrug:
