Yes i am building a 2.3 stroker and it is almost done at the machine shop and i am worried my 100mm stroker crank is going to hit mt stock oil pan. I have seen post and threads where they have modified the pan but i don't want to do that if i don't have to? I want to know what some others have did? Or can you help me so i don't have to get a new pan? Thanks for any help

Oil pan shouldnt be a problem. Are are building a 6 or 7 bolt motor? Only thing id worry about when doing a 6 bolt stroker is the 6 bolt main caps hitting the rods caps. the mains need to be grinded to clear the rods.

I'm using a stock 6 bolt oil pan on my 2.3l stroker, nothing hits the oil pan.

How does this happen? When I was running a 2.3l I did not grind anything. Are you talking about switching to rod cap studs and the studs hitting the the main cap brace?

It depends on your rods, they might or might not clearance. Also, a good idea to make sure that the #3 rod clearances the side of the block. Mine spun freely without grinding but when i looked at it, there was just a hairline clearance.

Thanks for all the help. I have a 7 bolt 2.3 now. and i don't know if the oil pan is going to clear the crank.

I have had the machine shop looking for info on this also. I was going to just install the oil pan myself but don't know if it will need modification? Any advice?

Big hammer fixed my Moroso

I did bolt it to a spare block and use a long 1x2 piece of wood through the cylinder. In my case only #3 rod had clearance challenges.
