Just kind of wondering where everyone is buying there performance parts such as pistons rings, connecting rods and main bearings, I would like to make a bullet prove bottom end but Im a little strapped on cash, HP goals are probably going max out around 400whp (someday)

thanks for the help! :)

With a 400 hp max goal, you can do that on stock rods and pistons, or OE replacement pistons (NPR)

King or Enginetech bearings.

Felpro composite HG

OE timing belt kit, some run the gates kit

New set of valve springs, I like BC1100

Full gasket kit, OE, Felpro, Erstic, Enginetech, Evergreen

ARP head studs, Rod bolts too

BSE kit, if stubby shaft make sure it has the oil groove, or a "Cut Down" rear shaft or the AMS/GSC kit if your baller.

:ohdamn: Right in the wallet.....is it worth putting in a 7 bolt?

That is 3 different kinds of BSE kits.

(1) The stubby shaft one is the most common, but there are knock off out there that do not have the oil groove.

(2) "The Cut Down" is an OE rear shaft that has been cut to look like the AMS/GSC shaft

(3) AMS/GSC kit... well you see what it is, and the price.

It is your engine and your cash, so only you can decide if it is worth it for your 7 bolt.

Both the stubby shaft and the AMS/GSC kits are proven to work.

I like the theory behind the AMS/GSC kit. But like you see the cost is a bit up there for a entry level to mid level build.

I use the "Cut Down" rear shaft on a few builds and like it.

You just have to make sure that the rear balance shaft bearing has not spun in the block, if it has, then you have to run the stubby shaft.

If you have a list of parts you need feel free to call us @ (269)350-9055 or pm me with the list and I can see what I can do for you.

strictly import motorsports have amazing customer service and have tons of performance parts readily available.

If you're rebuilding on a budget, check out RockAuto.com. I used them for piston rings and gasket kit.

So far, I've used ExtremePSI, JNZtuning, and just recently STM. I can say PSI and JNZ are quick to deliver... I'm waiting for parts from STM at the moment.

Ebay - Use with caution and do plenty of research before buying any part there.

I've used DSM graveyard,STM,JNZ Tuning,FFWD,MAPerformance, and PSI for my parts and by far the quickest service is between JNZ,PSI and FFWD, I'm currently waiting on parts from STM as they are a little slow at times, I've bought quite a bit of parts from DSM graveyard but for some reason the past months there service has changed up some, to the worst in my opinion and their web site sometimes has alot to be desired because of broken links

WOW..... I didnt realize how bad they was, I feel sorry for all the guys that got screwed by them, and Im glad I didnt spend that much cash with them. Most of my build was bought through PSI and Im happy with the service there

Honestly shop around. I've dealt with Extreme PSI, STM, Maperformance, and I can say they all have good customer service and quick turnaround time. For the DSM community the vendors (most) are really good to us. Depending on what you're ordering typically it's good to just group it all together for shipping purposes.

Id like to thank Allen at strictly imports, they have been helpful and answering some of my minor build questions and their prices are cheaper than some of the auto part stores with a better brand name I highly recommend them for your build needs :thumb: very easy to deal with and fast shipping!
