I am looking to replace my current ACT 2600 clutch with a more softer pedal clutch, but with close or better gripping than the ACT it will replace. I have been using both 2100 and 2600 ACT clutches since 2002. However, I never liked the pedal feel and now the traffic down here is getting worse! I need something soft on the leg.
This car is not my DD. I don't launch my car at all. In fact I never bothered to learn how to do it! Do have occasional road racing, but that is it - no Drag racing track here. Considering my mods, my car should have more than 300 horses.
He is what I know:
I have read that the Centerforce is about 90% of the ACT 2600 gripping power.
The XTD stage 4 is also about the same or slightly better in gripping than ACT 2600. My issue is, the XTD stage 4 comes with unsprung 6 Puck, which I don't like (the disc). On the other hand, the Centerforce is a little week.
I am aware of the Southbend and Clutchmaster options, but I find them expensive. However, if push comes to shove, I may have to go for the SS-Series. Also, I think their Kevlar disks are interesting...
The Big question:
Is there a disc that will work best with XTD or centerforce (or even ACT 2100) that will give me a grip similar to ACT 2600, but with pedal feel close to stock?
Thanks in advance
