So im looking at ordering the S90 70mm throttle body, i have stock intake manifold, im just curious is this a direct bolt on? Looking at the pictures it looks a lot different, my stock throttle body is flat on both sides. Will this work on my 95 talon turbo without modification?

What intake you using ???? 1gen or 2gen ????

I'll check once I'm home from work, but I dont believe it has any vacuum ports on it. You would need to T some from from a line coming from the intake manifold if you need them. Looks great and it makes the pedal feels better.

You would also need a silicone hose coupler to connect your charge pipe to the TB. The stock bolt on flange pipe will not work, and for best results get the connecting pipe end flared.

I have the 74mm, so I can shed some light here...There are no vacuum ports, none. It Does however have provisions for the factory TPS sensor, IAC and FIAV, or you can use your block off or bypass plate if you have one. If you have throttle body studs you will have to remove them to use the supplied bolts(but not the washers). You will need to change out the elbow for a coupler, and may very well run into clearance issues with the battery(I did) when doing so. I was rather disappointed that the gasket it came with, is actually not 74mm, it was 69mm if I recall. Lastly, if you have the factory manifold, you can only hog it out to about 54-55mm at the TB port. Not as much as I would have thought or hoped. I think that covers all of the complications I ran into, although as one last note make sure you readjust the throttle cable, as the throttle body is overall shorter.

ok thank you everyone for the info, i still have the stock side mount and piping so my charge pip is that braided rubber look, so all i can think about doing is hitting home depot and finding a pipe to clamp on and than a silicone coupler to clamp on to the other side and than to the throttle body

does anyone know the diameter of the outlet on the throttle body? im ordering the silicone coupler but dont know what diameter to buy

And ones at question, the three vacuum lines on top I will just cap off correct?

That would be the throttle body inlet, not outlet..that being said, the 74mm TB uses a 3" coupler, not sure about the smaller s90 tb though. As for the vacuum lines, that is up to you, but there are plenty of articles on that to guide you.

I've been searching the site and can't find anything on what to do with the lines, will it effect anything if I do just cap them off or do I need to do something with them so the idle isn't affected or anything like that

I'm trying to find a write up on how to do the whole what block off and everything but can't find anything on it

The three nipples on the top of the stock throttle body? Most people cap them off immediately, they serve no real purpose aside from emissions and provide a very weak vacuum source for things like BoV and MBC.

if you are referring to the actual lines, i believe they just go to the charcoal canister or something.. Start the car and see if there is any vacuum in the lines. I believe you can just remove them , but please double check.

I have the s90 TB and its bare bones as can be, nothing but a tps and throttle cable, i blocked off fiav/isc with the jmfab blockoff plate

Just ran a little rtv around it and bolted the block off plate on
Not a very good picture but you can get the idea

I'm waiting for mine to arrive...maybe this week. I ordered the 70mm version. I'll be using it with a EVO3 intake ported out to 68mm and polished by Curt Brown. I was going to use a Skunk 2 TB and I still have it sitting brand new in its box...it turns out that it will only work on an EVO 8/9 the EVO TPS and ISC are different. I'm currently using a 3KGT VR4 TB bored to 63mm from Throttlebodys.Com. I seem to be having some issues with it.

Well OK. estoyaqui30 makes a post and says he's having issues with the throttle body I did for him. I guess he can say whatever he wants but it would only seem fair for me to have the chance to address his issue before he takes it to the forums. I haven't been contacted so I'm going to say that I have an "issue" with his post. My .02
Thanks, Steve

Correction, I MIGHT be having an issue, but am not sure yet. I'm waiting to swap out the TB and see if that changes anything. If that solves the problem, I will contact throttlebodys.com. However I AM looking to go to a larger throttle body. Throttlebodys.com does make a good product, I have been running 2 previous TBs from them and had no problems.

THANK YOU estoyaqui30 !! Glad that loose end wasn't left out there for a newbie to stumble across down the road. We have to remember that whatever gets posted will still be here years from now.
And as always, if my customer has a problem with their TB I cover the postage both ways if it has to come back for repair.

Just a followup; A few PMs back & forth with estoyaqui30 and the problem he mentioned is the car is running lean. That isn't a throttle body issue since a boost leak test showed no leaks. Hopefully he'll find the cause and get the car sorted out shortly.

I bought the same tb to squeeze the last benefits out of my EvoIII IM.

Its really a direct bolt on.

Here is a pic during the port matching process.

Reviving this thread hope its ok. I have a quick question. I am also trying to mount my FIAV assembly to the s90 but there is a little lever in the fiav that is not allowing it to seat on the s90. Is there a way I can remove it or cut it down to fit on the throttle body? Im stuck on this one. I cant find any info on it. Looks like living legend was able to mount his FIAV assy. I ran with a block off plate for about 2 months now and I hate it! I want to let my car warm up without having to rev it for 5 minutes at 4:00am in 10 degrees outside!

Here is a photo of the lever in the middle of the FIAV Assy and the s90 where it is supposed to seat. Did I receive the wrong throttle body or something?

I'm not understanding, it looks like it should fit.

Can you post a picture of the bottom of the stock throttle body compared to the s90?

Here it is. The clearance of the center slot in the original TB is about8mm to allow that metal bracket to fit whereas the center slot in the s90 is about 7mm. I'm hoping that little bracket thing can be removed.
