Next step get to the ignition switch connector.
You'll have to pull the steering column covers off to access it.

The black/white wire from the switch powers that fuse.
If it loses power with key on replace the switch.

Like I said that would definitely cause a no start.

Okay, I'll try to find it. All the interior panels are off the car because I was looking at all the wiring. It's a mess. Ill check it out and update thank you.

The car started this morning and fuse 8 with the key "on" had 24v.

I found this today on a Honda forum.

It looks like he had the same issue.

The crank sensor? Yes, I lose window control when it won't start. When it's not started I also don't get the cel with the key "on". The alarm will also beep whenever I turn the key off.

Fuse 8 is "gauges" I believe. The fuses all look fine but I will go to a parts store and get some more. Hmmm thank you I'll have to try it.

Well I was thinking your crank sensor as it acts similar when going bad. Work when cold, then quit after a bit and have to wait to start it again. Rpm gauge goes out/jumps too. Also cuts pump and injectors off.
But if your losing windows thats definitely an.ignition issue as they are supposed to stay on for about a minute after key switches off.
Does your gauge lights and all go out or just the gauges and lights stay on?

Ah okay, yes I lose the windows. No, I have power to everything, gauges, radio, lights everything has power but the windows and the cluster. The only light that will work on the cluster is the "door open" light.

recheck your volt meter, yes voltage is good , but 24 is very high, should be in a 12-14 voltage range.

Honda's are super common for this problem, DSM's not so much.

I'll have to try another one. The only one I currently have was free from harbor freight. Thank you.

Okay, well we will know if it was the alarm because I pulled it today. I have to finish it on Wednesday when I am off of work next. What a mess it was.

The wires were going everywhere.

I really dislike add on/aftermarket alarms.
because they're usually not installed with care, make the vehicle harder to service/access. Sometimes due to features of alarm the electronics involved don't hold up to use & fail.

I see too many cause tons of problems, yours look like an involved one.
That's a ton of crap there LOL.

Yeah me too. I've always had issues with aftermarket alarms on cars. This one was a nightmare. There was a lot LOL. I've been driving the car and it's been behaving perfect without the alarm. If it starts happening again I'll update the thread. Thank you to everyone for their help. Thank you Wrencher for giving me all kinds of things to check before removing the alarm.
