Ok so I found out I have a blown headgasket and warp engine after I had a few performance parts. my main option is

After doing a compression test, the following are the results:
Cyl #1: 40 psi
Cyl #2: 0 psi
Cyl #3: 0 psi
Cyl #4: 20psi

It shows that the head gasket is really bad and the head is warped.
To repair everything; the following parts are needed:
1. Cometic Head Gasket
2. ARP Head Studs
3. Upper Engine Gasket Kit
4. Valve Stem Seals
As far as labor, the following is required:
1.Removal of head
2.Re-surface is necessary-Machine Shop charges around $50.00 3.Head dissasembly for inspection 4.Install everything

Parts are around $270.00
Labor is around $540(this is 9.0hrs of labor at $60.00 only, we ussually charge 80-85/hr) Machine Shop is around $50.00(could be more)

Total Price comes to about $860.00 + tax

For the clutch, you can get the clutch kit and re-surface the flywheel. It will be cheaper than buying the flywheel too.
Labor for Installation: $300 (6hrs @$50.00) Spec Clutch:
1. Stage #3: $325.99 (sprung clutch)
2. Stage #4: $369.99 (un-sprung clutch)
Parts and Labor on Clutch:
1. $625.99(sprung clutch) + flywheel re-surface + tax 2. $669.99(un-srung clutch) + flywheel re-surface + tax

For everything you are looking to around $1,530.00 + tax

this was quoted by a shop, if you guys know any better option lmk!!

Pm me what parts you are looking at and I can see if I can help you with pricing thanks man.

If you are staying under the 500-600 range an basic felpro composite HG will save you money.

The valve stem seals should come in the gasket kit.

For the head, has it been surfaced before? What is the head thickness before and after milling?

$50 is fair for the surface, as long as it is not belt surfaced, or they clip the intake valves.

When they dissasemble the head are they going to test the springs and check the guides?

Car was bone stock only thing that was replaced was the timing belt, the head was the original so no milling and it has never been surfaced..is this quote a good price, or should I try to find a rebuilt head?

Unless you plan on pulling the block and disassembling it to get it decked/surfaced do not go with the cometic hg. Just stick with a felpro hg kit and it will come with all top end gaskets including the valve stem seals and hg.

The labor prices seem fair for the most part, but If it were me and I couldn't repair it myself I would buy the parts and take them to the shop with the car.

Any of the reman heads from the supporting vendors/freelancers look to be in the $400-500 range from what I have looked at.

The up side of getting a reman from a SV or SF is they know how to tweek them out on different manners.

The down side could be the cost of one when compared to getting one done at your local machine shop.

Some SV and SF will install aftermarket valve springs right from the start, and given the age and mileage of most 4g heads, that is a good thing.
