Is this the same as the GST removal I found? If not does anyone have instructions or pics to how this is done?

No fwd & awd tanks are different but the procedure will be basically the same, except with the fwd it mounts by 5 or so studs/nuts & the awd tank is mounted with two straps & is protected by a metal shield that needs to be removed first. Awd will also require you to get the exhaust & drive shaft out of the way. The rest of the steps should be basically the same, if the fwd removal procedure makes sense to you, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out the awd procedure, once you look at it.

I'm doing this right now. Looking at the rear section of the tank and all the mounting bolts are about the rear end.

How the hell do I remove the tank without taking off the rear end? I just don't see it happening.

I swapped gas tanks when I did an awd swap. Just pop the rear subframe off, it's only a few bolts and doesn't take long. If you want to see some steps you could search for the awd swap tutorial.
