So this is the story on the talon. I bought the car with a bad engine. With the bad motor before it would take forever to reach high rpm. Now i got the car a used but new to the car motor and it seems to be running rough and takes a while to boost and when it does boost it does 15 psi and this on the t25. Can no fuel filter cause the engine to run this rough it has a 8 AN from the tank directly to the rail. Also has a SAFC 2 but i have no idea how to use it. I would really want this car up and running correctly but need some help.

:dsm:

What maintenance have you done, do you have any exhaust or boost leaks? Did you mess with the safc at all and what injectors are you using?

I have messed with safc but idk what im doing. I did a boost leak test and the exhaust has no leaks as well. Before i installed the motor i put new plugs and wires ngk wires and plugs bpr6es and new water pump and tb. Also another thing is it has no emission solenoids and im runing stock 450cc

No I really don't think no fuel filter would have an effect on how the car is running right now. I would do as the guy above said though and zero the SAFC out since you are running stock injectors.
What you're saying makes me think that this car may be running a Wally 255 and is overrunning the stock fuel pressure regulator. You might be running rough because you are running too rich.

Its a stock fuel pump i know this because i sold it to the guy that had it before me. What kind of filter can i run with the AN line?

How do i zero all the settings out in safc?

How did you perform the boost leak test? Are there are CELs showing?
