The clutch is shaped like that due to the aggressive friction material. I wouldn't doubt it's lighter than stock, but that's not the main reason behind the design. There's other ways to increase shifting speed too, such as short-throw shifter and bearings at the shift levers.

I also would suggest upgrading the pressure plate and disk together rather than tossing in some aggressive disk alone. What disk/PP depends on how much torque you want it to handle. Is you engine NA like your profile says? If so, an upgraded clutch isn't really necessary.

If your car is a non turbo and not really making any power above stock, then I would just go get a stock replacement clutch for cheap. It should hold more then enough and could probably find one with a warranty or something at your local auto store.

I do agree with the above, but if your changing the clutch/flywheel etc. and maybe plan to boost the car down the road i would do the upgrade now instead of twice. Personally i will most likely never willingly run a sprung clutch again after multiple clutch discs throwing springs. Im going with an ACT 6 puck un-sprung disc and 2600lb pp.

Thanks a lot for your inputs. I think I will go with stock or a little better then. doubt I will go turbo with this. trying to see what I can do with this n/t. Thanks
